Home Fleet does not want to patrol

Hi everybody,

I am playing as UK and I have currently some problem with Home Fleet.
I want to use it to prevent a German invasion in Sweden.
I choose "Patrol", but the Fleet remains at Scapa Flow, enven I can sea than Naval Patrol is chosen... So, to hamper a german debarkquement, I had to move manually the fleet :wacko:... But when I select Naval Patrol, the Fleet goes back to Scapa Flow.

Can anybody explain me how to solve that ???

Sounds like they are out of supply or have low organisation.

Put the minimal strength/org slider to 0.

Sweden? If Germany has occupied Denmark your fleets cannot enter the Baltic Sea as the Kattegat es blocked.

On the other hand, I have never seen Germany attacking Sweden.

Thanks for the tip. I would try tonight. It could be the source of my problem, since I am in trouble to devote enough IC for reinforcement - it is May '41, I am alone against Germany, even if I kick the Italian ass out of Africa and rally Spain to my cause, it is probably one of the toughest part of the game... - .

In my games, 9 times on 10, GErmany DoW Danemark and Norway and invade Sweden after. One time, I saw Ger invade all Nordic States, including Sweden.

Currently, I am triying to use Home Fleet to catch any TP, since I placed some INT + Anti Air in the beachs of Norway, but I cannot put too many - I have a country to protect too and I am quite sure that in 6 mounths I can see "the lemon faces" very closely...

Just a question: are you at war? I think you cannot naval patrol if you're not at war.

Wait, are you saying that you see Germany invade Sweden 9 times out of 10? That's unbelievable. I've never seen it occur in any game of HoI2. Denmark and Norway always, but the chance of declaring on Sweden is surely very small and therefore infrequent.

Yeah, in HOI 3 SWE is very often attacked by GER but I haven´t seen this in any of the games I´ve played with AoD so far.

Good morning,

First, thanks for the advice for Home Fleet. After a deeper investigation, I could see that one ship was more damaged than the others. So, because this one, the Fleet would not patrol.

Second, I made a mistake : it is not Sweden, it is Norway that I would to protect. 9/10 GER DoW Norway. But 1/4 GER DoWs Sweden too. When he does that, it looks bad since he could find a lot of raw materials and German's shortage comes latter.
