Started a game as the Rashids (if I remember right - the Duke level ruler in modern day Yemen at the earliest start).
So I am Shia. The Duke level ruler to the North of me (forget the name and I'm at work now - Hashimids maybe?) is a Sunni ruler under the Shia Caliph. He attacked me in Holy War and the war ended immediately inconclusively. The same thing happened about a dozen times, both when I was at war allied with the Caliph and when I was at peace. Quite sure this is not WAD, but maybe it white peaces out as I am the same religion as the Sunni ruler's Shia overlord?
I can provide a savegame (from later on, but should still have the inconclusive wars in the history of the save) when I get home from work this evening. Let me know if it's needed.
