actually Holland is almost an exact copy of Brabant, so I assume if Brabant can have 400 ducats and 4 merchants to start, why shouldn't Holland?

Besides any gains they make will inevitably (unless you're playing them) end up in Burgundian hands (for the AI not to be annexed by Burgundy it has to choose option b twice no matter what)

maybe it's the download, but the text.csv and country.csv seems to be corrupted. they've quotes and semicolons where they shouldn't be.

Whenever I try to start EU2 after installing this patch, a message comes up saying "DB Error" or something to that effect. Why?

Sure do. All lines are inside a pair of "s, and text.csv have a string of ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; at the end of all lines.

MKJ - have you tested these files?

i replaced the holland csvs after i did some editing using eep's csv files and the holland changes, now it starts up fine. but there still seems to be something weird going on, cause now one of the monarchs from monarch.u10 (Willem X) takes charge of my army. even after i edit him out of the saved game, he's still there after i restart!

Both will be scaled down. And Flanders too

I run with Holland on all the time, but I think I missed a couple changes I made apparently :/
It was country.csv after all it looks like, changed and fixed I think.

I had the EEP installed when I tried to run EU2. It didn't work.

there is no leaders.u10... that's why it's so weird. also, he has no fire/shock/siege ability... instead he has the ADM/etc skills.

text.csv is still a problem.

I must be mentally challenged, but I can't get it to work...
I have Eu2v.1.04 (ubisoft) installed, the EEPv1.0 and tried the holland.zip, but I constantly get a DB error when I try to start EU2. Can anyone help?

I have a clean install of EU2 1.05, then EEP1.0,
then your Holland zip.
It does not work "DB error".

I looked at the country and text files and both have extra quotes at the begining and end of every line. i reformated country.csv but there is no way in hell i am reformating text.csv by hand!

Any thoughts? what are you using to edit these files?

Eu2 1.05 and EEP 1.0 aren't compatible unless you fixed the Strassburg and Danzig issues.
