I'm wanting to convert Lincoln which is a temple holding into a city but have encountered issues. Unsure what exactly the problem is, seeing as I can convert some (York, Westminster etc) and did so for my Avignon AAR which appears as a temple holding in Venaissin province.
My reasons for doing so is an upcoming AAR looking into Aaron of Lincoln. Thought making him in character creator as a merchant republic would be neat, the city holding is Boston and ideally I wanted to make him the mayor, prince-mayor and grand-mayor of Lincoln (baron, count, non-titular duke) as Henry II after I consoled a friendship between him and Aaron had a habit of transferring him Yorkshire vassals and bestowing on him Mercia too which I thought was a bit cheesed.
Anyway, just a quick query really. Can provide screenshots if needed - I may even have to use a different mod. Any recommendations as to what I should do to remedy this are most welcome.
N. B. I should have clarified that I was using Carmichael's Destroy & Convert settlement mod v10, but have since used Sketchy's Cheat Menu mod which has resolved the issue allowing me to make Lincoln a city for my AARon of Lincoln.
