I presume to know how to convert cd tracks in mp3 files and put them onto your hard drive using real player or windows media...once you do that, simply drag and drop each file into the HOI music folder...then what I did was to rename each new music file with a simple numerical sequence, such as 0000234....you then open the music text document that is located in the same folder and type in, at the bottom of the current list, the exact same number sequence which you used for each new music file...make certain though that each new music file name/number sequence is different...that's all there is to it...enjoy...

Sibelius is one of the top twenty composers of all time, IMO. :)

The excerpts from Wagner are the only thing in the HoI soundtrack that connect on a certain emotional level with WW2. About all the other tracks... not discussing their quality, but just a hint: world war two occured in the middle of the 20th century. Not in the 1600s or 1700s. This is not Europa Universalis (where the music would have fitted right in). Even Sex Pistols have more of a connection with WW2 than Bach.

So i wonder does computer chose them randomly or fit them to the curent situation on battlefront, like when you loosing then aranjuez plays or something like that ?

Actually, I saw something somewhere in one of those config files that led me to believe it did choose the songs by what was going on in the game...but I can't find it now, maybe I dreamed it. I could have sworn I saw a CSV file or something like that with sections labelled with stuff like 'peacetime' with track lists after them.

There's some truth to what you say, that's why I loaded up with WWII film scores..... it gives a certain cinematic aspect to the game....nothing beats the prelude to The Battle of the Bulge when launching an offensive!

haha that song still scares the crap out of me :)

Oh man I loved that song it was one of my favourites :p Seriously when I first heard that song I literally jumped up from my desk (my volume was up, way up!), but after a while I got used to it and started not to recognize it as much (intense EU2!)

I play that song when I'm driving home to Seattle, that and the rest of the EU songs oddly fit to the drive.:D

The latter statement contradicts the former. Having different music for each major would mean having much less variety in any one game.

I think the two things that are missing are Deutchland Uber Alles (which is still the German national anthem) and the Soviet National Athem... I have a good deal of old WWII music era mp3s perhaps i could help mod them in...

Although it would be nice in a standardized format...
