*high-fives Frodon*

Yup. One of my very favorite classical pieces (I like Miles Davis's version too).

As I said in another thread, I had a great musical coincidence in my first 'for real' game: Concierto de Aranjuez starts, the theme plays for the first time and then BLAM! Spanish Civil War.

Coincidence? Maybe...

Hoi´s soundtrack is excellent. It will be even better if you modify it. There are a lot of good WWII music in .MP3 format in Oronzo.com. If you add some of that music to the music directory and to the music list that will improve the soundtrack to be even better. Does anyone know where I could download Finlandia made by Jean Sibelius in .MP3 format? I would be grateful.

Its completly normal. If you play the game so much, every music would become annoying.

Although i could spend days listening to "battle at Poltava" and Georgian war march ;)

See a Post by Froden a little earlier - or PM him for the details.

I have just downloaded it (7 MB) and it rocks! :)

Actually, if there's a downside to the music track, it's the fact that some of it isn't really 'in the right mood' for a game where warfare is a central component. (Or maybe "Blitzin' with Bach" really was the most popular German radio show at the time they blasted through the Low Countries.)

Agree with Kekkonen. My campaign as the Soviet Union was much more enjoyable with my private "soviet top-20-charts mod" with such classics as "The Partisans song", The International" and other hits with the Red Army Choir...

It's random and will be just a coincidence if the music suddenly matches what you are doing...it's a nice surprise when it does though.....:)

I have seen film clips for Winter war and the background music was Finlandia. I figured out that it would be cool to have Finlandia playing background when you lead your nation in Hearts of Iron toward victory or defeat. Good music choices are essential to create the right mood, feeling and sense of reality in 1930s and 1940s period. HOI would lose a lot if you decided to play without music.

Hope I ain't being to fanboyish...
...but I can't believe anybody would find
the music lacking.
These tracks ROCKS -
though rules might be more decribing :).

Whether the total amount is sufficient must be
a matter of opinion. Personally I haven't had C-game
where the music didn't become repetetive after 4 hours straight-
just as with regular music on repeat for 4 h .:D
