Yes it is. Ya know, AI pretty suck to know wether it should use one unit or another. At least that's how computer works. Ho jeez, how many variable errors did I have to solve in my life....
Some can be deadly. That's what happened with the Patriot Missile Failure. Some can be trivials, that's the case of Hearts of Iron, yet you don't want your aircraft carriers seeing their range downgraded from X miles to X kilometers. Or you don't want enemy tanks to have a speed of 14 MPH instead of 14 KPH. And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like you troops killed by attrition when 75°F become 75°C. Or even the game crashing because it's not made to have a temperature higher than 40°C. Or whatever bug you can imagine with type conversion.
Yes these can be solved, these can be avoided. BUT it requires testing time and some work. And even with a lot of time and work, it can still fail, that's why the Patriot Missile Failure happened. I think you have much more important things to do a month before release. Like testing every CORE functions works. Like localisation (don't feed the troll please :3) Since it's always quite disturbing when you provide an option in game but it's not working.
