HoI4 pre-order?

Hey guys, I have a quick question, will Hearts of Iron 4 be available to pre-order, like Stellaris? If so, does anyone know when it will be available to pre-order? Sorry if this question has been answered before, but I wasn't able to find any threads on it.

They've stated about a month prior to release. So right around Stellaris release time.

Hey guys, please be nice to each other.

To have a demo is a perfectly reasonable request and we would love to do it. But the harsh truth is that making a demo, and most of all maintaining it, is a lot of work and cost resources. In the past we failed at this and the demos generated more complaints than value I think, so we decided that the resources are better spent elsewhere. Not all will agree ofc, and I respect that. It's our decision however.

We hope that with Steam's more generous refund policies and the option to do free weekends, there will be satisfactory replacements. I hope you will accept this reasoning, even if you don't agree.

I'm not sure the same applies to HOI4 as well but I won't be suprised if it does.

Demos are out of fashion, I think there were a few GDC presentations on this. They are costly and just not worth it, especially for interlocking games like grand strategy.

There won't be a demo. Our previous experiences has shown that it doesn't work well at all for us with our expansion and patching policy.

Paradox usualy opens up preorders about a month prior to release. I'd guess it will be either 4 of may or 11 of may if they want to announce it during a WWW stream again.
