As per Podcat's wishes, the community is to form a collective list-thread of our most wanted features and requests, that we would like to see in future updates and expansions (1.4 onwards).

Please keep the thread on topic with minimal discussion and with serious requests that will have popular support of the community. The developers will look here to gain ideas for future expansions and also when they have free time to implement something new.

My post - and @podcat's reply - was specifically about graphics, and he said that we could make requests for artists to do in their spare time.

This thread seems to be about general gameplay and feature requests, which is well outside the scope of what was discussed, so I just wanted to clarify whether this was up for debate.

Incidentally, there is already a thread on modding requests and hardcoded features.

Highly detailed focuses for the 7 Majors.

Introduce Aces for Tanks, Infantry (Snipers), and perhaps Naval Units.

Have an advanced rail-way system to transport units a bit faster than Base Infrastructure, which provides a slight bonus to supply maintenance.

Allow variants of party types, essentially, for example, Stalinist and Trotskyist parties both register as communist, but have slight differences to them.

Allow more and interesting interactions between different factions, to represent loose coalitions against others (Axis and CPS vs Allies, Comintern, CUF)

Allow citizens or subjects of your nation to rebel against the government (loss of factory output, slight penalty to PP, ect.).

Allow a means to take over other nations without going to war (German coup in Hungary).

The next big thing would be jets, both 2D and 3D assets. Clearly a place holder right now and I want to see the very first Schwalbe, Komet and Meteor on the skies :D


What else? Dunno, submarines? Maybe a special skin for the map, military stylised. Can't think of anything else.

In general though we've not had a collective megathread like this since pre-release (other than the modding request thread). Johan noted down the original requests so I'm assuming it's been passed along to Podcat. So I don't think there is any harm in having one anyway, since opinions have changed since pre-release on what should be prioritised in the game.

Either way 2D artwork and 3D model requests definitely belong here anyway. :p

I believe I am right in saying that @Vonboe's Commonwealth models are included in TfV, so there's no reason not to think that his Axis stuff won't be included in the next expansion.

I would like more ways to disrupt politics and governments other than boost popularity and stage coups... So espionage features would be nice.
Might be helpful to the devs to list some espionage actions in particular and think of a way it could all possibly function.

Such as "Sabotage Infrastructure" using 1/3 available Spies (similar to diplomats in EU4). Whilst assassinations and captures of Spies (capture means simply disappear with possibility of random escape later on) and possibly include the assassinations of commanding officers of armies and Political Ministers. Which means spending some precious political power to replace them.

I was also under the impression the devs were looking for an art rather than a general feature request thread. Maybe adjust the OP to suit? General feature request would probably 'bloat out' and make it harder for artists to find what they wanted if spare time was available.

On the art side of things - more ships :). Currently, most ship models are generic. It'd be great if we had country-unique sub, destroyer light cruiser, carrier and battleship 3D models and 2D sprites and, over time, different models for different tech years.

I just want to get this out of the way first, I had never played a Paradox game prior to this. Now onto the review!
It took me about 2 days to finally buy this game as I saw it in my Steam feed and I decided to watch videos and other types of media to find out about the game, as at the time this would be a $40 investment in something i knew little about. I decided to pay for it and oh my god, was it worth it. With 400 hours in the game I have gone back and forth with great times here is a Pro and Cons list
Pros--
-Plenty of gameplay, my 400 hours explains that
-Can be played with friends, not necessary though
-Intuitive warfare and gameplay
-Easy to learn, very difficult to master
Cons--
-Plagued with bugs
-the game goes slower and slower as time goes on
-Strange crashes (explained later)
-boring expansion (for now)

The bugs in this game are insane, sometimes i am playing with a friend and every minute we BOTH need to re-sync! Sometimes i would be playing by myself and I reach a late date in the game and I am at max speed and yet it feels like it takes YEARS FOR A SINGLE DAY TO PASS. Another very triggering problem is that recently I have tried to play as the Soviet Union but everytime I select my navy THE GAME CRASHES LIKE WHAT. One last issue is the Together For Victory DLC is complety useless don't buy it unless you are diehard.

In the current state of the game I would give it an 8.5, i really wish I could rate it higher but right now the crashes bugs and low content level as of late give it the 8 and a half.

id really really love to see in 1.4 the ability to assign air wings to an army and have them deploy to the best possible air bases on their own to continue to give support to that army

id really really love to see in 1.4 the ability to assign air wings to an army and have them deploy to the best possible air bases on their own to continue to give support to that army
That would be quite good, especially coupled with Battlefield Support air doctrine.

I would love a way to toggle certain features / settings on or off as a host in a multiplayer lobby. Rather than requiring players to read a novels worth of custom house rules through TeamSpeak or Discord the host could simply "turn off" coups, make Austria unplayable, or put restrictions on justifying war goals etc.

Even "no rules" games are really "no coups or unwanted boosting" games. By giving the players the ability to turn these things off most of the "troll" behavior in MP would vanish immediately.
