Anyone else seeing frontlines while at peace sending all of the divisions assigned to them to one end of the frontline?

As Manchukuo, I sent a dozen divisions to the border with Mengkukuo (with whom I'm still at peace), and they all went right to the north end of the line. I had to draw a fallback line to get them to spread out.

Presumably this is happening to the AI as well.

On top of the other changes&ideas regarding Hungary&Vojvodina brought up prior, I have a few niggles about some of the territory transfer focuses. They're all tied together in a way.

But first, I think Vojvodina should be renamed to Backa (or Backa&Baranja, though Baranja is a single province here, or Novi Sad if you want to name it after the central city in the state with historical relevance). Vojvodina in that time would refer to the combined Yugoslav portions of Baranja, Backa and Banat. Since Banat is cut out, it's not really "Vojvodina", now is it? This isn't just being pedantic, since I believe this misunderstanding somewhat fuels the current spottyness in the territories being transferred. I understand the separation of Vojvodina was important for making historical borders possible, but there are a few ways to adjust this while keeping the historical qualities.

HUN:
- Reaffirm Territorial Claims: add West Banat to claimed state list.
- Demand the Vojvodina: should include the West Banat state.

This is pretty straightforward.

GER:
- Second Vienna Award: add Banat to the transferred state list if all of Transylvania is given to Hungary. Hungary's focus includes it, while the Germany's 2nd Award doesn't. (Also important to my proposed solution to the historical borders issue.)
- First Ljublana Award: add an IF that checks if second_vienna_accepted_all is set, if true THEN include West Banat in the transfer, otherwise the award only gives Vojvodina(Backa) to Hungary. Thus if HUN only has North Transylvania, aka partial vienna accepted was set(or nothing at all), they'll get the approriate YUG territories. Historic borders preserved!

Now obviously this has a hole, if you complete 1st LA before 2nd VA, you don't get West Banat even if you get all of Transylvania. To solve this add an event that checks if second_vienna_accepted_all is set+GER completed the FLA focus but HUN doesn't have West Banat and have it fire once 2nd VA completes. The event would allow West Banat to get transferred to Hungary if accepted, or is auto accepted. Whichever you deem appropriate. Call it Ljublana Award amendment or Unite the Banat! or sth along those lines (since you'd have the Romanian portion of Banat as a prerequisite). You're already dealing with fantasy regarding territory transfers at this point, so why not go a little further?

The one thing I'm not sure on is if you can check if a focus itself is complete.

I think that about covers it. Hope I didn't miss anything. This, alongside the already mentioned core additions to Hungary would be a nice way to polish off that already existing area of the game without needing to make new territories or stuff.

Hey guys, just a quick and very minor bug report.

I was playing (badly) as Canada yesterday with the 03-28 beta version, and got the achievement "Canada First!" for joining the axis as Canada. The only problem is, I never joined the Axis. I was friendly towards Germany and Japan, and I was a Facist government, but I was still independent when Great Britain defeated me (turned me into a puppet).

Thanks for making such a fun game. :)

German has two (2) Panzerschiffe variants. Both are set in /history/countries/GER - Germany.txt. The first is redundant (as it doesn't define the class) and should be disabled with a "#" in front of panzerschiffe = 1.

Uhh, don't you know? The German Army only existed of Tiger Tanks during the war!

I find it funny how people seem to think the German Army was a mechanized one. It wasn't. They had mechanized and motorized divisions and armored divisions too, but most of it was just infantry. Heck, that's normal. You can't really expect anything else.
Germany had like 5 panzer divisions only in my last playthrough. Tell me that's historical.

There is a mod for allied building projects that I don't play as much as I should but I think it is great and should be incorporated into the main game. It is insane that you don't have air superiority despite having plenty of airplanes due to lack of ability to build airfields on your allies territory.
The reason why it is not in the base game is because it would enable quite cheesy strategies, especially in MP.

That's because they evaluate based on how many countries are bordering on that area of the front line. So if there is an area on the border which has multiple countries then it will move more divisions there.
The Frontline AI seems to be getting really unstable, the more patches are released. Maybe this is just a consequence of them putting incomplete fixes in the beta build.

I'm curious what you think would happen that would be cheesy? The best I can come up with is having the commonwealth build up the UK rather than the reverse which is what you would normally see. The 25% efficiency penalty is big enough that I'm not sure what the issue would be especially since factions don't really form until right before war.

when Romania does partition of Czechoslovakia via focus it gets Slovakia as a puppet and Zaolzie is included in it.
If you can, let the game run further. I had the same situation go on live 1.6.1, but after a little while Zaolzie magically transfered itself to Poland. Though iirc it wasn't added as a core but as a colony state. What's even more curious, Germany somehow later DOW'd on my Slovakian puppet without any reason or even required and visible justification (checked the WT log). I have no idea what might've caused that, they should not have any possible claim/core on Slovakia. The only extraordinary things in the save were me toying with the Hungarian rearmament (I agreed only on second try -> Bled agreement) and the fact that Hungary declined to become my puppet but I've annexed them long before they could join the Axis. I will try to check it out again, especially if I still have a backup save.

- Demand the Vojvodina: should include the West Banat state.
Good post and suggestions. It'd be great if it was fixed together with the Byzantium core. It feels like addition of West Banat was done without checking all the interactions in the region.

It probably is too much, because with new options for releasable nations, devs changed multiple provinces so that post war/modern day borders can be created. While it isn't a 100% bad idea (releasing more states is good and adds flavor to the game, especially decolonization playthroughs for UK/NED), it wasn't really called for by the players and most importantly screws up many WW2 borders and NF interactions - my example would be Wilejka not being added on Soviet claims on Poland. As you mentioned, that includes Suwałki and whole Ribbentop-Molotov border, Yugoslavian partition with Greater Bulgaria/Vardarska etc. I even read one post about African borders (Cameroon?). Actually, the only positive change in this regard is the addition of West Banat, although as mentioned above, even that wasn't implemented properly so far.

Imo, while new releasable nations are fine, border changes (except West Banat, it doesn't change anything for worse and adds more flexibility) should be reversed, but for devs to do that would require a stronly voiced opinion from the players.

The 25% efficiency penalty is big enough that I'm not sure what the issue would be especially since factions don't really form until right before war.
I don't play MP, but could USA somehow become a "production manager" for the allies?

That is about the closest I can think of, but I don't see that happening before the end of 1940 anyway. At that point USA has more CIC than they know what to do with and all of their building slots are full. The other thing I could think of is in a big game you might see a minor like Bulgaria that can't really produce much for themselves start building airfields and infrastructure instead. Still that 25% penalty is pretty big to be using it in on other countries. Maybe in multiplayer when others can use it. Certainly not in SP when all you want to do is improve the infrastructure to get your troops in France supplies to get some air cover in the massive airzones in North Africa.

US abusing their industry to militarise the entire Allies. Especially when they run out of building slots. Like, imagine the US, spamming forts in the USSR. Or just spamming forts everywhere. Or spamming MILs for USSR's high level tanks. Or God forbid, spamming forts in France.

Hoping for a tweak to Italy, since they don't enter the war till september 1940.. if you join the axis.. when germany goes to war, so do you.. and it is almost impossible to be ready for war when they are... that is why Historical Italy didn't join the was till them..their industry and equipment was so inferior....all except their navy...
