The new "force_build_armies" AI strategy is awesome. It has so much potential to benefit a lot of Mods :cool:

Technically, this is not a fix...this is a new feature XD

Nope. Ran this checksum from the last SU save. Front shuffling is just as bad as before. The northern flank is left completely undefended multiple times. I couldn't find a single division that was entrenched.

When testing you should always start a new game even it the update is save game compatible.

Now China AI looks really good, bravely charging the frontline with human waves, if anyone plays MAN, they may get shocked when the war breaks out, and Japan just looks a bit...lazy :p

Hello - I note that 'Awake and Angry' is going to be fixed. I conquered the warlords today and white peaced Japan and didn't get the achievement. I thought it was going to be changed so you didn't need to conquer the tiny European colonies, however, was this missed?

Considering all these 1936 marines templates that are now being represented, is there a reason that the UK doesn't start with one?

Although they were strongly reduced in numbers between the wars, the Royal Marines were definitely still a thing.

There's even a British Pathe video from 1936 of the Marines practising for a tournament.

Same situation in this version. The Soviets aren't good at figuring out that they are going to go to war with the entire Axis. Germany declares war and they move most of the troops on the Hungarian and Romanian borders to Germany. A few days later Romania and Hungary declare war and they reshuffle again. So based on the first action the southern flank is open and based on the 2nd the northern flank is wide open. Also on this version Italy never beat Ethiopia for some reason. I didn't even notice until Ethiopia joined the allies.

@Bratyn The idea file for the Netherlands still has references to generic icons. This means that when you've used the companies to research equipment the generic logo shows up in the build screen. This applies to the following companies: Fokker, Koolhoven, NSM Amsterdam & Wilton-Fijenoord. Also the gfx for the D.23 (H-FT III) is unused.

Can we do anything about these focuses for Britain and France? I realize that the French National Focus tree needs some TLC at some point, but four (4) effects for Jet Technology for each country seems a tad excessive (especially when Germany only gets two). France didn't deploy a jet until 1951 and the Meteor was relegated to a reconnaissance role. A single use is plenty for Britain and France.

The Soviet AI just needs to be banned from using the garrison command. The front shuffling is due to units bouncing between the front line and random garrison commands in the interior. It really only has a couple areas that should be using garrison commands- Leningrad and Vladivostok. I think preventing them from using the garrison command in all instances and risking a naval invasion in those couple of provinces is better than giving the Germans a free path to annexation.

@podcat I found why Spain still joins axis in 1942. In 1942 Germany finishes its last historical NF - Wunderwaffe and is free to choose whatever NF it wants. For example "Alliance with Spain", which removes Recovering From Civil War national spirits and makes Spain join Axis.

Unfortunately it isn't the garrisons for the most part. It is bouncing from one country to another at the beginning of the war because the AI doesn't understand that it all one big front. At that point Germany is at war with the Soviets but their allies are not, so the Soviets moves their troops off the front from their allies. Then when the German allies go to war it moves troops from the far north to go south. Then they rearrange the entire front to get troops from the center up north. By the time they get even close to a front its too late and the Soviets have Leningrad and are on the doorsteps of Stalingrad.
