Good to see quick fixes for these; thank you! :)


- Changed coloring of strategic navy map mode to improve visibility of assigned regions
- Selecting ships and right clicking on taskforce icons now will assign ships to those taskforces
- Selecting task force and right clicking on another task force in the theater view will ask if you want to merge task forces
- Panning to armies and task forces in the theater view made consistent with a double-click, instead of when selecting with single click (army) or when right clicking (navy)

- US and ENG AI should now be able to build a specialized anti-submarine destroyer design for convoy work
- AI now takes convoy losses and mine threat into account when designing ships and building counters. Losses to convoys also increase desire of AI to build more convoys

This should be very good news for Germany players in SP..... Great work! :)

I tried looking for it a couple hours ago, but "XP", "equipment" or "training" yielded no results, and I've not seen any mention of the change just by browsing through the notes. Maybe you thought "We now use battalions rather than divisions to calculate XP scaling for commanders to avoid 1 bat exploits" was it, but it's something else entirely.
these were the xp related ones:
- Leader XP gain now only from units outside reserves in combat
- We now use battalions rather than divisions to calculate XP scaling for commanders to avoid 1 bat exploits
- XP gain rate in combat now scaled by the lowest of yours and enemy strength
- overall Xp gain spead from combat increased to compensate for above changes

The objective has been to make trait farming harder

That air wing names bug (and a possibly related one) have already been reported (twice), but there has been no response from QA so far.
its solved internally, but didnt make it for that last update Andy posted.

- Fixed the Dutch military tree to no longer be incorrectly hidden if you don't own DOD. Instead, it correctly only hides a single focus.
- ENG Decolonizing while having finished Three Nation Solution will grant RAJ the improved Muslim Community Marginalized trait. Also, TFV trees will now take into account the possibility of having been decolonized by Britain, and, if they are still in a faction with ENG, allow them to take focuses that would otherwise require them to still be a subject.
- Ensured that it is no longer possible to 'game the system' by, as a Dominion, promising loyalty to the king in the event for the Abdication Crisis, only to subsequently go down the independence path in a TfV focus tree. Promising loyalty now locks you into the pro-Britain path of the tree.
- HOL focus Colonial Shipbuilding now only requires control, rather than total control, of the relevant states. This should make it more possible to be taken once at war with Japan.
- Fixed carrier deck size not being updated after refitting
- The Naval treaty should no longer be removed if Japan goes to war with China specifically
- British decolonization tree now takes into account not owning TfV.
- Double-clicking on enemy task force icons no longer lets you select their fleets and disband them
- Fixed reconquered and re-puppeted dominions declaring independence from Fascist Britain a second time.
- De Gaulle should no longer be able to play 4D chess and rule both Vichy France and Free France.
- Trotsky should no longer be able to lead an uprising in the Soviet Union while also ruling Mexico.
- Added new states in West Africa to correctly be owned by Vichy France upon formation.
- Prevented various strange AI behaviours from occurring, such as Stalin allying Trotskyite Mexico.
- McArthur should no longer be able to lead armies on the Democratic side of the US civil war, while leading the Fascist side. De Gaulle should now no longer be available as a general for Vichy France.

Is this bug
I appreciate the changes to the task force template UI.

I think there is a bug in the ship count, however. I have no carriers in my task force (they are in production yet), but the count in my template says 2/2 for carriers. It should be 0/2. Look also at the battleships in the picture. It should be 3/4, not 4/4.

Yeah, it was one of the bigger balance issues in vanilla MP. Glad to see it nerfed.

I reported this a while ago but i'll post it here because it got ignored its a sound bug from the 3d model viewer after researching a aircraft or boat.

Its been present since WTT and has not been fixed yet.

HOW CAN THIS BE IGNORED @podcat!

I probably still won't get a response.

I have 2 questions:
1- as Britain am I actually meant to be able to interact with stuff relating to the naval treaties, atm it’s just a thing that doesn’t do anything besides limiting my production costs.
2- as Britain what are the weights/chances and effects of some of the dominos not abandoning the king during non abdication or are they forced to go seperate regardless?

Naval Raiding locations by AI is abysmal. Strike force and patrol are ok. Escort is challenged due to vast range of any naval asset and number of zones. I saw some updates for Escort AI in the latest 1.6.1, but nothing for raiding AI.

Not sure if best for AI to have only enough escort zones at 100% or several more and let their efficiency suffer. If a human does this, then it should be whack a mole, but escort TF need to move there however I believe this is broken due to a teleport issue atm.

IRT raiding, AI raids as close to enemy capital as possible (smart), but within air coverage (dumb). Raiding should be as spread out as possible but probably at 100%. But also another whack a mole sub game. Not seeing AI use long distant regions away from air coverage, or try different zones where intel shows there are no ships on missions.

Looks like no additional AI defines values were put into MtG to let players tweak AI mission distance. Same horrible Parms since HOI4 launch. If raiding AI is bad, then convoy wars are bad, and that’s 1/3 or navy’s purpose.

Do you have any idea where the localization for ship name lists is stored? I can't find it anywhere, and I've tried searching every file in the /localisation folder.

I'm looking for e.g. "NAME_THEME_COLONIES" or "NAME_THEME_CITIES"

Surely it's not hardcoded, so it must be buried away somewhere?

I'm talking about the categories, not the file with the actual ship names in.

Is it intended for Germany to import oil from Iraq and Iran? Since the Anglo-Iraqi war and Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran aren't in game, can't the oil just be given to the British to prevent this?

Does this fix the spelling mistake in the Netherlands description/brief history where it says "unable to poperly prepare there defenses?"

I know it's incredibly minor but it's also extremely irritating.
