I don't see a reason for a discount on a game which will most likely match their usual price of 40€ or your regional equivalent. Thats already a fair price for a new title. I like discounts as much as the next guy, but i rather see a company whose games i enjoy do well.
If you think PDX titles and their DLCs are bad value propositions, don't buy them. People who think they are miliking their customers should suggest how they would finance the continued development of a title more than 3 years after its release.
And steam doesnt decide the discount policy, i have several games on my wishlist which havent been on sale for over a year. Konami and Slitherine i am looking at you. Their titles have only been on discount during holiday sales, Sliterhine had recently a publisher weekend but their discounts were not high enough to convince me but i digress.
I could imagine some Free Cosmetic DLC for owners of Hoi3, i also expect a little token for the people who signed up for their promotional website over a year ago, nothing fancy of course. Anyone remember when they started that Site?
While i think they should rethink some of their bundling and pricing policy as well as the presentation of DLC and Free new content, their are over all fair and i rather see more content than a discount.
