For instance, if you're playing as Denmark, and you capture Germany (thank you, EnterElysium) should you not be able to produce units from the German tech line? (For instance, Danish ME262s and King Tiger tanks)
Not without research being done. This could possibly be handled by event, but it won't happen instantly.

Have you ever felt that the Soviet Union was a bit of a big, threatening blob, but that there was little you could do about it apart from taking all their territory for yourself?
One part of HOI4 that I'm not currently happy with is the results of peace conferences. How do these additional releasable nations interact with the decisions the AI tends to make in peace conferences?

Adding in more releasable nations is nice, but it will be mostly meaningless unless the puppet system is improved. There needs to be more reasons to want to release a nation, and they need to be more malleable in general. Allowing the player to build infrastructure in subjugated land a classic example, as is allowing for the transfer of land between overlord and vassal. As it stands, there is really very little reason to release nations rather than to take the land personally other than because you can't be bothered to micromanage. Aside from the production you lose, by creating an army of vassals you ensure that there will be much lag in the late game.

Unless annexation is redone why would anyone ever release any nation? Annexation is the optimum choice right now and releasing nations doesn't make sense.

Why would I ever want to release a country instead of taking all of its land for myself? What are the benefits/trade-offs?

some expansion about "indirect rule" and a post game with lower world tension (so less annexation in peace treaty) to prepare another war could be nice.

Instead of annexing, having satellites and winning ideologies is an interesting idea...

Another thing that should be corrected: Portugal leader, Salazar, appears as a non-aligned. Historically, he wasn't aligned, but he was fascist. He made an agreement with Hitler, where he would sell Tungsten for Germany, in exchange of not getting invaded by Germany.

Extra manpower and development slots. Useful when you are not confident taking on enemy immediately. Though in reality the cost is actually higher than annex, so it is almost never worth it.

I use defensive lines which work quite well.
That's in the internal beta, right? Because in the live version, fallback lines are a pain to draw, and if the enemy pushes through the line, the game redeploys your troops to give the enemy an opening, as the fallback line is not pushed back in the way a front would be.

They're on the list for the future, but they won't be in this patch.

Tag switching and formable countries is more complicated, so I can't give you a definitive answer on that now. It would be cool (particularly for modders), but it's a challenge that would be a significant chunk of work, and we have other priorities for this patch and immediately after.

If you add the formable countries I know yet of it will be ending ;):

>It's another "I will for the roman empire during a total different historical age" episode.

CK2, Victoria II, EUIV, only HoI IV is missing. We lack seriusly and Eu: Rome II.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
