Too late tech for armored cars, amphibious tanks maybe but those would fit in better with the mechanized tree. Hm... we shall see.
Well if they add those I hope they add some Marine Corps generals as well. The Marine Corps amphibious vehicle ? what was it called, the LVT Water Buffalo ?
Why would they only be available from 1941 though?
I think amphibious tanks/vehicles is more likely given the theme of the expansion.
Curious to see what other updates to tech there have been.
Indeed. Would even stronger speak for landing crafts. Are there not two blurred out techs? One in 1939 too?
Indeed, Germany got a huge buff to repel the allied invasion last patch with the Atlantik wall focus, now a buff to naval invasions is more than in order.Should make repelling marines a lot more challenging IF the AI will actually build/deploy them.
They might with dogs driving them . . .Doubt the AI would use amphibious tanks properly.
Hopefully they will change something mechanically as well, like adding amphibious experience to the nations, so that the historical progression can be followed with Europe being basically impregnable at first, but with XP gained from smaller invasions in Africa and the Pacific, then with larger invasions in Italy and island hopping, eventually it will culminate into a massive invasion into mainland Europe.
Actually, I meant massive in terms of effectiveness, not necessarily in size.Well massive invasions in Hoi Terms would be like a simultanously invasion of Normandy, Calais and Britanny with 24 divisions in late '42, that is atm totally doable, but irl something like that would probably been unthinkable. If I recall correctly the initial landings in the Normandy were done with 7 divisions from the naval side (and 3 from air) and are considered the largest amphibious landings in human history. In the Hoi provinces it would be 2 provinces. Such an operation would be considered rather small in Hoi, lets face it. I hope that the naval landings site gets some love and balance.
Doubt the AI would use amphibious tanks properly.
