Honestly I (as an european) prefer yy/mm/dd. If you put in front of a name or whatever string, it will be properly sorted if you do it alphabetically.

I prefer this method for the very same reason. All my digital file names for today will have 2022-04-27 so they sort correctly. I train all my people to do the same for consistency. The real world methods create such a mess when it comes to file sorting.

The only reason I use four digits instead of two for the year is because I learned this sorting method before the year 2000 and it has been a habit every since.

bug fixing, balancing, tweaks, AI improvements, and mostly features

Very simple, FTs, events, decisions and flavor in general are done by content designers, while most of the things you mention are more code intensive work done in great part by programmers.
So there's no real competition for development time here, as those are different things done by different people, assuming they are doing one thing at the expense of the other is just plain wrong.

Will we ever get a update of HOI4? rhetorical question(s) ... simple answer is YES. When is another question. for my feeling it is too quiet. We see some updates but a DD?? when it comes it will be a big one I hope and not just a simple update of one focus tree....

Have you submitted a bug report? If not why not? The only way most bugs get fixed is if you lodge a bug report and players upvote the bug report.
