yeah, they just called the DLC Barbarossa to fool us right?
yeah but they didnt call the DLC Barb - They called the patch Barb, and as mentioned previously there are no direct correlation between patch names and countries reworked in the patch.

That said I still think Soviet is the next country to be worked on in the 1.11, not Italy.

The 4th one could be an Italy rework or was Italy officially discarded this time around? If they said that there was to be 4 new ones then the last one could possible be Iran since its near Turkey, the USSR, and the British Raj. There is still time for some upgrades to other Balkan country focus trees though.

Iirc no major for this pack.

Is anyone else hopeful this DLC will be out before the end of the year? Since it's a country pack and not a total rework.

I'd assume they would've waited a while before posting these new DDs if the DLC wasn't arriving fairly soon.

I think there's a fair chance of that happening - 2 focus trees have been shown so far and another one is coming tomorrow. They said there will be 3-4 focus trees in the country pack, which means we have at most 1 more week of focus trees to show off. Death or Dishonor and the Oak Patch had 10 weeks of dev diary before release based off the wikia (and 3 weeks of post release patches). So we should be on track for a release in November assuming Collie doesn't have a lot of content work

yeah, they just called the DLC Barbarossa to fool us right?

It could go both ways. Barbarossa was a German Emperor who invaded Italy, or it could be the name of the German Invasion of the USSR. Either way, I think its going to be huge.

Again, we don't know. They've said, and demonstrated, that patch names and content do not correlate. Could be a way to slyly say the DLC is Barbarossa, could be a clever troll.

You'll probably not have to wait long. As myself and others have pointed out, it is quite possible that the DLC will be out in November (if its EXACTLY like DoD, in the week of 11/11). Since the next one will start dev diaries right after, we could start seeing its content by late November/early December.

I predict 3 paths, 1 democratic neutral with alt route of joining allies, 1 fascist with neo ottoman empire and 1 communist one to join the USSR or red Yugoslavia.

One non-alligned where you can join either Axis or allies or stay neutral, two communist (pro-Moscow/independent), Fascist, Ottoman, Democratic

Turkey's communist path seems a bit OP at first thought.
well probably will lead to a civil war, this way weaking the country plus you will loose most good ministers and generals. Although I am hard pressed to think of any minors who had "good" generals (excluding the commonwealth and maybe Mannerheim) since most of them were stuck mentally in first world war.

My take:

Non-Aligned: Continue on Kemalist path after Ataturk's death with Inonu or Cakmak, or bring back the Ottoman Caliphate (whether peacefully after that or going CW before). Foreign policy is to whether join the Allies (Inonu), Axis (Cakmak) / Central Powers (if Germany goes Wilhelmist and Turkey goes Ottoman), Roman Alliance, or keep neutral

Democratic: Begin after Ataturk's death with Inonu, or going CW before. Foreign policy is to join Allies, keep neutral, or create Sadabat Pact. Maybe a national spirit to improve infrastructure if going neutral.

Fascist: Cakmak can going this path, or make a Junta depose Inonu (or Ataturk) by CW. Then going Turanism or bring back Ottoman Empire. Foreign policy is to join Axis, Roman Alliance, the British, or create your own block.

Communist: Either peacefully after Ataturk's death, or rebel against him (or Inonu/Cakmak) before. You can then depose the monarchies around you both in Balkans and Middle East and freeing the colonies. Foreign policy is to join the Soviets, join the French, join the British, join 4th Internationale or create your own block.

Shared by all: Question about Hatay, Aegean Islands, Cyprus, and Turkish role in the Middle East affairs. (Edit: I want to touch another thing but it is too sensitive... well, two things i mean.)

Industrial path: Developing agriculture-centered economy to improve infrastructure and IC building speed or industrialize and improve mils and dockyards building speed. Also, an addition of steel and oil, especially in the southeastern region. With potential nuclear development boost if joining the Allies.

Military (since i didn't know anything related to that): Homemade vs licensed air and army development, also navy path whether Black Sea-oriented or Meditteranean-oriented.

Leader portraits: Cakmak, Orbay, Omurtak, Abdulmejid II, Ahmed IV, Sefik Husnu, and Celal Bayar

Also please, add 6 35-day length national focuses regarding Kemalism

I still remember this story from my studies.... Turkey goes to France wants economic advice they say focus on agriculture, goes to Germany they say focus on agriculture, goes to Soviets they say focus on agriculture and we will gift you one thing. Turkey: We want a steel mill to become an industrial power house!

Why you take Inonu which is the successor of Atatürk for non-aligned and ignore totally Fevzi Çakmak the second Field Marshall of the Turkish Republic which totally fits more for an Military-Facist path?

Fevzi_Çakmak_and_Kemal_Atatürk.jpg

Probably the only guy in this DLC who you can use already as a Field Marshall.

We should not forget Rauf Orbay or even for the Communist part we need Nâzım Hikmet and of course with him we cannot forget Nihal Atsız - both were even servants of former Ottoman Navy.

1508353696_ataturk.jpgNazim_Hikmet.jpgNihal_atsiz2.jpg

But of course we should not forget this Chad here which is a must-have if we got even a focush-path for re establishing the Ottoman Empire
