I thought that was two patches, not two DLCs.well they've confirmed they're working on two at once so 1.10 is probably gonna be a small flavour pack type deal
Well anyway, pointless to speculate if we're about to find out anyway.

We have been wanting to shorten the time between content update for a while and are going to take a serious stab at it now. That means that we are currently working on two things at once in parallel actually. In the pipe we have 1.10 ‘Collie’ as well as 1.11 ‘Barbarossa’. That's about as much information as I can give you right now. We are not yet ready to start dev diaries on ‘Collie’ but look forward to it some time after summer vacation. We have some massively awesome stuff planned and I think you are all gonna like it (if people wanna see the roadmap, it was last updated in this dev diary).
Why is almost everyone so bent on it being Italy togheter with Greece and some combination of Austria, Bulgaria and Turkey? Sure, Metaxas is greek and since it would be weird to feature a foreign leader in a focus tree I think we can assume Greece will be included. Italy can also be assumed since they're one of the last majors to not receive a reworked tree. I also think work already began on Italy back with La Resistance.
However, little is known for sure and depending on what plans Paradox have, this update/dlc/expansion could be heading in a completely different direction. Speaking of which, Alexander reached India, and they could use a reworked focus tree!
Collie dlc: Italy, Greece, Turkey (1945 Allied) and Bulgaria + plane rework.
Barbarossa dlc: USSR, Finland, Poland and Iran + logistic and supply rework.
I wish they could rework some older focus trees like Japan and DoD TfV nations since they're outdated.
imo I think the layout of Japan and Spain's focus trees are really poor. They feel very restrictive because you just pick a path and follow it, there aren't many options of play past the first decision.I think like there wont be any rework for Japan since Waking the tiger was recent and lot of players enjoy it. (like its not bad it's ok maybe good in my opinion) but i agree with nation in together for victory. I think that australia, canada could get some really good focus trees with right ideas. With new zealand i dont know. Like what i cant think of anything that could be interesting for that nation but i could be mistaken.

My favourite's are probably Mexico and Portugal (although Portugal is a bit shallow on the politics side) because of how wide they are
I think Middle East is a weak theme for a DLC. Since Turkey is in the Mediterranean and Iran fits in the shared USSR GB occupation.I also think Turkey could be saved for a Middle East themed DLC
I think Japan big rework could be a DLC along with Thailand, Dutch East Indies, French Indochina and British Malaya and maybe also Reorganized China (under Wang Jingwei) similar to alternative path for Germany.imo I think the layout of Japan and Spain's focus trees are really poor

There could be a French, Dutch and remaining GB colonies DLC like TfV GB commonwealth includes Syria, French Indochina, Egypt, Dutch East Indies, British Malaya and a strategic resource-rich nations DLC includes Iraq (oil), Saudi Arabia (oil), Thailand (rubber), Cuba (Chromium), etc.
Fair enough. Location-based could be made for DLC.I do not agree that you could make a very interesting dlc in that area of also Southeast Asia
Fair enough. Location-based could be made for DLC.
But in term of marketing-wise, no one is gonna buy Southeast Asia or less known region DLC, accept the ones who live there or history nerds like me though.
It could work if the DLC also includes important mechanics, i.e. guerilla warfare or faction parties for southeast asia.I believe that if because the Southeast Asian area would have the claim of the Indonchina war and generalized revolts and nationalist movements for independence in British Malaya, the East Indies or the Philippines without taking into account the role of Siam in a terrible area. rich in oil and rubber

If the Devs wanna make the whole world have focus trees then region DLCs are far more fleshed out than the Netherland and Mexico DLC, since countries in one specific region have more interaction with each others.
I believe when they rework that area they will implement guerrilla warfare mechanisms as surely some way that some powers, especially communists, can send supplies to these groups and as a more accurate reworking of the maps of that area
But I believe the current resistance system in these areas should be retouched and have specific components in this conflictive area such as a high mass probability, insurrections or the creation of constant guerrilla groups due to nationalist sentiment.Didn't we just get a resistance mechanic? Seems silly.
We should demand a refund if that's going to happen.
