@Meka66 I admit this will be the first time that I will be playing the Baltics since... Vanilla. :D

Seeing the Estonian Focus Tree makes me hope that there will be a Unique Focus Tree for Finland too. PLEASE.

Can we also have the full W I D E B O I pictures of the Baltic Focus Trees? :)

It's an event based thing either side has a choice in. The AI will always agree with the player though.
So player Soviet can select if they wanna annex or puppet Baltic.
And I assume AI Soviet on historical will want to annex Baltic, and Baltic will agree to that in their event, so it works like before?

Will I be able to form the Iroquois Confederation when the US gets its next rework? Or the Aztec Empire when Mexico is reworked? Possibly Carthage for Libya's? The Inuit Empire for Canada? Neo-Mali with Mansa Musa the Second? The Djinn Federation for a re-worked Saudi Arabia? Perhaps the Sumerians or Akkad or Neo(cubed) Assyria when Iraq gets its rework? Would love to have Sargon the Second with Saddam Hussein's portrait (wearing sunglasses of course)...most of all what I want is the Thalassocracy of Atlantis for the Mediterranean re-work. Would be great to see an entire island chain rise from the ocean after you unlock it with the Athenian Democracy national decision tree. They should have a 30 day nuclear programme decision to reflect their technological prowess.
Stop giving them ideas!

Are you sure? In the old dev diary it seemed that it would happen before the war (at least for me):

Lithuania Belarus Soviets.png

Poland is still up but lithuania already got its part of belarus
Yes I am sure in the DD you can see the focus "Soviet Mutual Assistence" say when M-R is fulfilled the Soviets give you Wilno.

The picture you are showing is them asking for Belarus where they already got Vilnius via the fake war mechanic if I un derstand that correctly (not a 100% on this part).

Historically, Ulmanis assigned the marshal of Latvia to be his Prime Minister, replacing Kviesis of the Farmer’s Party. Choosing to do so will allow the player to vastly improve their military industry.
Mistakes i noticed about Latvia: Alberts Kviesis was the president and he was never the prime minister. He was president from april 1930 to april 1936. Kārlis Ulmanis was the prime minister instead, from march 1934 to june 1940. Jānis Balodis was never assigned as prime minister, he was the deputy prime minister and vice president under Ulmanis.

Very interesting. I have a question, in many of the maps that you showed, parts of Russia or Germany have been given to Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania, can this be done peacefully or do you need to conquer them by war?
For these paths, most must be done by war. The exception would be the Soviet Mutual Assistance Pact for Lithuania getting Vilnius back.
Honestly baltic nations becoming puppet doesn't makes sense. They were incorporated as constituent republics of USSR no different than other SSRs. Why make a distinction? This is honestly immersion breaking.
It's a video game and we want the player to play the video game.
Why do all these Baltic-USSR territory concessions happen at Molotov-RIbbentropp? Wouldn't it make more sense if they happened after the russian occupation of Poland? Why would Poland just give their lands away for a deal they had no say in?
If Germany isn't doing the MR pact, then we do have a fallback where Lithuania and the USSR issue a demand for East Poland and Vilnius respectively. This is very much a "do it or we invade" type deal.
this looks great! I have a question for the exile tree, will we also get a number of offmap civs? they are pretty important for steel for production and licensing equipment.
You do, yes.
1. Does Estonia really need a civil war? Maybe a coup/revolution would make more sense from both gameplay and historical viewpoints. At least there should be a way to go fascist without it.

Pagan Latvia... I need a few minutes to process this new information...
Estonia can become fascist without a CW but it requires high fascist support. The government will immediately surrender rather than go into civil war.

As for pagan Latvia, being a 1930s extremist group is one hell of a drug.

Still this is honestly very very disappointing, because really all the Baltic trees are "Join allies(you can not really do anything because you d"o not have the resources to do anything), Join USSR(ok cool, get some generals and stuff and form a super weird baltic socialist union, still with little to do) and some focuses like "kill and take sweden, kill and take finland"
What a disappointment, in just three weeks the game turns five years old without a playable Italy, one of the most interesting nations in WW2 with many possible paths, instead of a Baltic nations focus.
This is a big disappointment, really.

Is there not Baltic Duchy path for Latvia (or any of the Baltic countries) where you align with a German Empire? Can Germany get a decision to form it as a puppet if the former is not possible?

Should Lithuania choose to elect a king, the player will gain access to the same claiming mini-game as Poland but inverted, allowing for a Commonwealth in which Lithuania is the senior partner.

What would happen if both Lithuania and Poland choose the Commonwealth candidate? Would they fight? Or would the game defer to Poland?

Leaning into the Ugric identity however will allow Estonia to form the new Empire of Finno-Ugra out of the Finnic identities living in Scandinavia and Russia.

Will Finland be able to form this as well? Speaking of Finland there seems to be alot of Finnish related focuses in Estonia's tree. This is from their cultural ties or is Finland getting a tree (you don't have to answer this one now, you could answer it at PDXCON).

Overall this looked really good. You guys put a lot of effort into these trees and they really show it. I cannot wait to see what borders I can cook up with the new states. I'm slightly surprised that Latvia didn't get a monarchist path w/ Duke Adolf Friedrich leading a United Baltic Duchy. Also, will the Latvian Neo-Paganism branch reduce relations with clerico-fascist states in Europe? This is looking really good, and cannot wait to hear @podcat talk on Saturday.

Oh, I didn't see it. Still on Page 1. Thanks.

By the number of states in Finland,I do no think there will be a finnish focus tree. Usually,a new Focus Tree means also some new states,And it seems like Finland is the same. Hope to be wrong and actually get a Focus Tree for Finland, tho
