Yes! It literally was part of Podcat's "Five Year Plan": :p

6soQRmh.png
Wow most of that’s done, we need a second 5 year plan!

In regards to the supply in Africa comments... maybe the supply hubs will help with that.

So for Instance, at the start there is no supply when troops arrive and all they have time for is frying eggs on the valentines or swatting flies while they build up the supply in the hub and Rommel observes his new panzers coming In from the med.

Then the supply hubs fill up and we go on a huge offensive until the hubs becomes dry and everyone runs back with their tail between their legs.

The supply dumps refill slower in Africa (maybe because of size or development). If you capture two supply dumps in Africa (maybe one in Tripoli) you can share it making your offensive better supported.

Every time a new DLC is announced I think "finally! this would be the perfect opportunity to fix the peace conference system!". However, now I take it that there's no plans to include a revamp in this upcoming patch+dlc. This has been my #1 hope since release, but I guess I'm alone on this or maybe just way more people are playing big multiplayer games. But for me, no matter how much fun I have in a game, the peace conferences always manage to ruin it for me so much that I quit. I really hope ya'll at least provide some mechanism to allow the player to refuse to give up occupied territory in a peace conference, in the absence of a fix to the conferences themselves.
Until they actually implement improvements to the vanilla peace conference system, there is a good mod you can use in the meantime. It's called "Player Controlled Peace Conferences" and what it does is essentially takes away AI ability to make demands, and gives you the ability to give territory to ANY country you see fit. Makes peace conferences much more enjoyable, prevents border gore, and stops Italy from puppeting provinces in the middle of your conquest.

Please do South America. Every other region in the world had some representation in plenty other games in some form or another, but every developer forgets about South America, and also Oceania (though they're way more popular).

Perhaps HOI can be the sole game that does a bit of South American culture right besides the incas and samba.

Will there be Tukhachevsky's conspiracy as a possible path for USSR? Because it kinda happened irl, and Tukhachevsky himself was careerist and had napoleonic ambitions. Also, left opposition in 1936 was already suppressed, so it doesn't really make sense to add it

It would be nice if the Victoria 3 was compatible with EU4 and HoI4. Hope the developers thought about it.

Maybe it would be a bonus for owners of Victoria 3 to HoI4? For example, the first-war uniforms for the powers of that period (USA, UK, France, Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy and Turkey). Like the Roman Unit Pack for Europa Universalis IV for the holders of the Imperator: Rome. Insignificant thing, but it is pleasing to the eye.

How many people did HOI4's team gain out of curiosity? Was it a large influx or comparatively minor? Previously it was discussed that integrating new members of the team is a big part of the speed of development (as opposed to team size). Has the change in team size affected development for NSB?

I was talking about LaR which came with a revamp on occupations, resistance etc

Details in future supply diary, but there is a way to reroute for you (comes with some tradeoffs)

How many of daily players play with that mod

yeah I think a lot of asian minors and the general area + pacific could have more interesting stuff too
Yesss! @podcat I would be happy to help with the lore, flavors, and whatnot for the Philippines and Southeast Asia in general, for this Country Pack. :)

Some imperator guys and new job advertisements for hoi4's future.

Going to take a while for everyone to get settled in but production efficiency will increase FINALLY.

I think this news is rather underestimated to be honest. A lot of loyal fans have wanted this for a long long time.

If you review the Q1 2021 report, one of the main goals was to focus on the core games.

Seems like that's coming to fruition now. No spreading thin, they paused Imperator and finally gave us fans the Devs and the attention this game deserves.

From what I have read and seen, the developers coming from Imperator are very good indeed and have done a Sterling job.

Very exciting...

Wasn't it better with it from the start of Chaplin's "The Great Dictator"?

Berlin is encircled: If Steiner attacks... everything will be fixed...

I think it would be more immersive if the player had to chose and select every single departure and arrival time for every single train during the entire second world war
A game like this already exists and is called "A-Train" ;)
If we want a nation to do it, it would be Italy because 'the trains are on time'

It's worth pointing out they were talking about "mechanics IN DLC", they didn't mention mechanics in patches. One issue EU4 & CK2 had was that when mechanics get introduced in DLC it's a lot harder to allocate time to go back and fix them. It's why for Stellaris & EU4 they ended up pulling DLC features into the main game.

Hopefully Podcat just means the DLC will be country packs mainly & all engine / mechanics changes come in patches.

But maybe I'm being optimistic.

(He mentioned peace conferences & air rework - no realistic way can they be DLC locked.)

While I have faith that podcat has more than the necessary two brain cells to know better, you underestimate just how greedy a business can be if you think peace conferences can’t be DLC locked. Granted, the uproar and backlash over it would probably make Leviathan look good (I know as someone who’s reaction to Leviathan was disappointment but no anger and is generally generous toward Paradox, I would be livid if they sold peace conferences as DLC), but it could theoretically happen.
