Let alone the fact that there is no difference between "National Socialism" and Fascism, where would you get the idea that the KMT were NatSoc?
Big massive difference! They might have the same economic policies but their Ideologies in other areas were different.

@Orlunu
I am not sure you can really call the KMT 'National Socialist' (not just putting the 2 words together, but an ideology practiced by Hitler & the NSDAP and many other groups). I say not sure because I don't know. You gave your nice list of belief & practice and you did not go to the core of Nazi belief, was that because the topics are banned here on the forum or the KMT did not share them?

If because of the sensitive nature of the topic we could move this to a private conversation (I truly want to learn not have a public debate).

I am starting to look deeper into Japan during the period and so far I have not seen their economic practices to be Fascist or National Socialist. I just don't see the socialist elements found in both Fascism or National Socialism. I have seen some political people try to start a Fascist type party & fail at it. I know I need to do more research on the period.

I have learned that the Japanese government during this time period (1936-45) was very pro-Jew. This lead them into some conflicts with Germany on the topic (don't know if any of you know or have looked up all the Japanese 'Political Advisers' and seen a very interesting person in that group?).

I wasn't aware. Sorry.
I am starting to look deeper into Japan during the period and so far I have not seen their economic practices to be Fascist or National Socialist. I just don't see the socialist elements found in both Fascism or National Socialism. I have seen some political people try to start a Fascist type party & fail at it. Well 'fascism' is a European ideology. However, the Japanese government was a militaristic and ultranationalist entity with more than just a few similarities to the fascist regimes of Europe, which is why the mainstream ideology of the country at the time is often called 'Japanese fascism'. It's obvious to me that it wouldn't be fascism word for word since, as far as I'm aware, the ideologies developed separately from one another. That being said, Japan was truly a nation that traveled the Third Alternative route of politics and adhered to a system that was closer to fascism than not.

Unfortunately, I can't debate you too much on this topic because I'm no expert on Japan and have pretty much just wrote all I know, but hopefully something I said was at least a little bit helpful. All in all, I have no problem labeling Japan as fascist both in-game and in real life when discussing the era for the reasons above.

KMT were NatSoc, not fascist. Japan, on the other hand, falls short on pretty much all the points of fascism except for the areas under control of the Imperial Way and the Control Faction; the first was pretty much broken after a failed coup in '36, and the latter managed to get their man in as PM only in '41. Noteworthily, he was elected to the position, as Japan maintained free elections throughout (unlike, say, the UK). They were closest to old-style imperialists.
When the Kuomintang ruled China, they were — and still are — a right-wing nationalist organization. Their armies were like swarms of locust that ravaged everything in their path as they fought the communists. This was one of the reasons Mao was able to garner so much support to fight his war. While the Nationalist army destroyed everything in every village they went to, Mao imposed rules of strict military discipline and etiquette on his soldiers. Now everything bad about the Nationalists aside, whoever told you that the Kuomintang was National Socialist was either lying or ill-informed.

Very true & with the current simplistic political system of HOI IV it does fit the Fascism group. I just dig deeper with my mods & want to present history better even if for game reason they need the label. I would at sometime like to explain in my mods how Japan was similar & how it was different from the Fascist & National Socialist.

Hopefully we can get a more in depth political system one day, ala Hoi3. It's clear to me that the simplistic tri-ideology system is far too superficial.

This looks rather cool. If the overall game is improved with regards to the AI and Challenge Level of the overall game is enhanced considerably, then these features I believe will make India a really fun nation to play, and replay in different directions too.

That's what the "Smiling Buddha" focus is about for sure :p

Had to look that one up. (Thanks, wikipedia!)

Smiling Buddha[a] (MEA designation: Pokhran-I) was the assigned code name of India's first successful nuclear bomb test on 18 May 1974.[1] The bomb was detonated on the army base, Pokhran Test Range (PTR), in Rajasthan by the Indian Army under the supervision of several key army officials.[2]

From another thread...here's a snip of a screenshot from Podcast's twitter account:

So, will cores for African nations finally be added to Africa? You currently can't free African nations even if you want to because the only cores are basically Libya and South Africa. As somebody who causes Britain to capitulate I would rather just free African nations and make them my puppets than half to occupy and defend a bunch of useless land.

There will be a bunch of TAGs added to the continent. If you play as a communist South Africa, one of the things you can do is liberate Europe's African colonies.

Not all of them, though. You can't liberate the French colonies, which I guess would need to heavily edit the map since some modern day countries from AOF and AEF are all mixed-up or cut in several parts, especially Mali and Niger.

Has (Southern) Rhodesia been implemented at all, or is there a plan to do so? I noticed in an earlier screenshot that Malaya has been added as some sort of colony, but Southern Rhodesia was the colony with the most independence (including its own prime minister) outside of the Dominions. They also raised their own regiments and had a local air force.

Just thought it worth mentioning, as they were definitely the colony that punched above their weight.
