The realm rejoices as Paradox Interactive announces the launch of Crusader Kings III, the latest entry in the publisher’s grand strategy role-playing game franchise. Advisors may now jockey for positions of influence and adversaries should save their schemes for another day, because on this day Crusader Kings III can be purchased on Steam, the Paradox Store, and other major online retailers.
Since it's just a country pack, my guess is we'll have it by Christmas. When do you guys think the new dlc will come out. Maybe within this year or early next year?

I like the way this Greek tree works, should make the "I Swear I'm not a Byzantophile" Achievement much easier, and fun. I eagerly await this update.
You know, I find that a bit... odd. Don’t get me wrong, Italy SHOULD be in an expansion, that’s for sure. But now that they are tackling Greece, and probably Turkey and Bulgaria, where would Italy fit?
Contrary to most people, I think Italy’s FT is by far worse than that of the Soviets and deserves more love. But I can’t see who would come with Italy in an expansion... Austria? Albania? Ethiopia? Switzerland? The first three are annexed rather soon and Switzerland... is Switzerland- they were 100% neutral the entire war!
In short, I just can’t see how they could add an “Italy themed” expansion after this pack is released. It would either be pretty much Italy alone, or Italy + 3 other random nations or so...
Anyhow, it’s just speculation, at this point. We’ll have to wait and see
I really hope this will not create even stronger minors. Even when I play as minor I don't want to feel like I can conquer all world... Still think that there should be more difference of strength between majors and minors. Maybe there should be some additional options for playing as minor?
PS also I don't understand why people are obsessed with national focuses, it's least interesting part of the game for me.
Would be much more interested to see research system would be reworked from the scratch. For example ship building mechanic could work for research system. Choose research and then add research facilities to that research. And you also could build more those research facilities.. and could bomb them on enemy lands. @podcat
Well Greece and even Bulgaria already having unique pictures of their Generals while Turkey is getting them with this upcoming DLC - before they got just Generic randoms pictures.
Communist Byzantium is coming
Read the DD again, democratic path is the one that focuses on Meghali idea which can also get expanded into Byzantium later on if the government colapses and fascists take over. Also it doesn't matter which ideology you are, the formable state decision is usually allowed no matter which government you have (unless if they will change it).Again, thats just from what I saw looking at the tree posted here. It looks like the facist side sides with Turkey for a Turkey and greece alliance, while communist does communist things, monarchist is the democratic side.
And even right now, trying to do the Byzatine Empire comes down to so much luck as well as skill but still alot of luck. Its honestly really grating trying to get the achievment. So, it is just from what was posted to us that my assumption is the Byzatine Empire will be even more difficult to make which is already one of the hardest things to do in the game.

And yes it should be hard to achieve Byzantium, we're talking about an empire that collapsed 500 years ago.
Why are the Venizelists locked into the Megali Idea? Even in the early 30s, Venizelos and Ataturk personally started to bury the hatchet and take steps toward an alliance. Seems like there should maybe be another split in the Greek democratic tree, one involving accepting the Balkan Pact?
