Is Ireland on the hit list that a Fascist UK would target?
Whether King's Party or Blackshirts, I'd expect a bullseye being painted on Ireland somewhere around here:

But the fascists don't get that. The monarchists do.
It's a shared tree - the 'solid line' is, as Puppet on a String has mentioned, a bug. It never seems to show up on my local machine, but the artist who photoshopped the combination picture clearly had it happen to him in multiple areas. Apologies for the lack of clarity.

"Move to Secure the Dominions" is similarly shared between the fascist and communist paths.

Will there be any new bypasses or blocks put on some of the old focuses. For example if the Netherlands joins the UK's faction, will Netherlands intervention bypass or be blocked? Similarly if Australia assumes control of Malaysia will that part of the UK tree bypass so Britain can still intervene against Japan?
Yes, I intend to go through the old focuses and 'brush them up' a bit.

I also notice new icons on the map. Look at the naval bases! I would presume the wrenches mean ships are repairing.
yeah, these were noticable in one of the earlier teasers which had the fuel stockpile and whatnot. But then they were simply white lines on port icons which I wrongly speculated to be some sort of debug mode indicator. So it doe look like they're there to indicate ships are being repaired, or maybe refueled.

I was just waiting for a little more changes for the historical part of the tree but it's true that the original "historical" focus tree was not so bad so... Why not ?

Does the manpower deployed for Impose Martial Law need to be your manpower? Recruit half a million Indians and ship them off to the other Dominions, while securing the Raj with actual Britons. Hopefully locally recruited troops won't be quite so eager to blindly follow British officers to enslave themselves.

what are you even on about mate? HoI4 is a singleplayer, borderline sandbox spiced with histroical themes. Why would you want it to become "competetive"?

I am also assuming due to decolonization focus, more releasable nations like the Caribbean, Guyana, Maldives. If so, I believe Botswana has no Portrait.

Due to the look of the Three Nation Theory focus, it looks like Burma would be a country and if so would this affect the Indian Two Nation Theory Focus?

just a small suggestion...

you now have a 'towards indian independence' focus on the 'revisit colonial policy' branch, which is exclusive with the default branch, which has the old 'indian independence' focus; why not replace the old focus with a small 'imperial federation' branch that requires all of the 'development in...' focuses above, and strengthens the dominions somehow and brings them more in line with the UK, perhaps ultimately leading to voluntary reincorporation (could be handled by events)

that would be a logical way of handling it without you have to mess around with the new stuff you have made, and it is exclusive with the new self-government and decolonization focuses, which it would logically be the opposite of

just an idea!

Given the limited number of historically neutral countries in Europe during WWII it should be the case that they stay neutral in historical mode.

Also could you please learn basic grammar and manners...

He wants it to be competitive because he plays MP, every game with MP on it obviously has a crowd who plays it.

He's allowed to want it more competitive- but the trees themselves- no matter what PDX will do- will be changed by modders for MP, so he probably should be less of a %$#$ about it.

As a member of a couple of MP groups- MP players are mostly dissatisfied with balance(unit wise, not tree wise- trees are almost always modded so we can live with that), serious bugs (the carrier air wing issue) and lack of mechanics- like Fuel that we're getting.

PDX have done a lot that has damaged the MP community since release, but hopefully the naval rework breathes some new life into MP- because not everything can be fixed with mods.

Hopefully locally recruited troops won't be quite so eager to blindly follow British officers to enslave themselves.

because if you are irish maybe you are interested in ireland, if not you don't give nothing about which focus ireland could have?
because alternative history makes the game unbalanced and for example a fascist USA can easy rules the world because there are no limits to his power?
If you're playing an MP game where the rules don't ban USA going Facist... that's on you buddy.


And if that happened we already know that every other player would gang up on the USA anyway, a UK player and Jap player could take down the US Navy, at the very least- a full on invasion would be rough but the US would be contained at the very least.
