Would make sense. It'd be nice to get an Irish tree, though, and depending on what this 'autonomy' thingamajig is, maybe they could just be a Commonwealth member with massive autonomy and a spirit that makes them unlikely to accept a call to war (removable through focus tree) or an early national focus for the '37 constitution.

Ireland has a lot of potential. Would be cool to play a game where you can go Full Dev and Unite Ireland by exploiting Britain's position in the war.

The Australian achievement is gonna be so easy now. I kinda regret getting it already. Now I don't have a reason to play as Australia to test the new focus tree.

Yes but what about fixing the heretical Australian state map? Its so bad.

States in game has nothing to do with what an actual state is in the real world. its just a convenient grouping of provinces with a name.

no where in his post does podcat even imply that the person he is responding to is stupid, he merely pointed out that there are alerts for naval invasions.

yes. I dont mind critique of how they work though. The base one is pretty useless I agree, but the skull&crossbones one we added in 1.2 should be working, so if it isnt I would like to know (as in bug report in bug forum)

Ireland adopted the Statute of Westminster quite early (or at least claimed that the powers listed their in were already in the state's position due to the treaty), hence it was able to remain neutral in WW2. They'll probably exclude it for that reason.
yea, we had to draw the line somewhere. There are cool stuff you could do with Ireland, but as you said their situation was different. Might flesh them out another day :)

Will the axis get some kind of tecnology sharing too? or at least something to make them stronger?
I ask because its nice to see allies getting all these things but right now they are easy mode, no need to boost them even more imho...

I still really really hope, granted the discussion about DLC policy, you will see the critical need for a Blitz command in the base game and consider making it free.

You guys are welcome to grab the map, state and navy fixes from my 'Realistic Australia' Mod - the state boundaries are fixed, the Navy is correct, and the Air Force is close.

Its nice that you guys adding new features here, don't you guys think it would be better if you work on important issues first? Noticed the AIs isn't very good and many things need to be fix. I mention this to you podcat awhile back on the codes, that you can lock the units in place, but it wasn't define properly. Was hoping to get this thing set up so we can continue mod the game for better point of views. Right now, unless already been updated, those units that has been locked in place has zero organize and strength and it wouldn't gain over time. The previous series, esp the part two and three, it keep the units in place til the commands is given.

There is no critical need for a blitz command. You can achieve the same thing with the regular interface, it just takes a couple more clicks.

Behold:
This is that the prediction for the attack in your screenshot is:

578D914045045AA68C5E42D23D0EF7036F4DA7CA

Not remotely similar to the dev diary. That order is supposed to spread out like that, it tells you it will spread out like that, it IS following the narrow green path of selected provinces. Useless example.

This is what it looks like when you draw an order similar to the one in the Dev Diary, notice the green selected provinces.

624858DF0E1597E7A6E56CECC92AD17B903A3907

This is what it looks like upon completion:

7DE42BC9A41B5A5D3E1DFAD9C2AB9DDC64294C4E

It has fulfilled the order as predicted and as it was intended to.

If I want a more complicated set of orders for encircling, then this would be the set up:

07B52353400E9F14019052081204B0BEB71D6429

Resulting in this:
8A67BB00C65B64394B3996EE8F28C593593F90C5

Seems to me like the feature works exactly as advertised.

Note: for all examples I did no manual movement, no editing of orders and no adjusting at all. I set up the orders, declared war and then clicked activate (with a brief period to prepare).

I'm new to the game (though not the series as I played HOI3 for a while.) Still learning, but National Focus seems an interesting mechanic and I'm liking the look of all those options in Australia to take the country down a variety of routes (Commenwealth, Allies, Axis, Comintern, go it alone and become a regional superpower.) Sounds fun.

Tech sharing also looks handy and makes sense from a historical perspective.

All the Best,

Union Jack.

That is a good question. I have no idea, but I'd wager @Havebeard (or maybe @Sleight of Hand) would have some inkling as to whether that would be possible.
Newfoundland was directly under English control by the game's timeframe.

Here's hoping for special mechanics though that'd keep England from giving the territory to Canada in pretty much every single competitive MP game out there.

Did the lakes (e.g. Lake Eyre) exist in 1936 to 1946?

I guess that depends on how you classify a lake. If you mean like Lake Superior etc, then no. It only fills a few times each century (depending on rain further up in the catchment). Otherwise it's a massive salt pan, like almost every other inland lake in Australia.

Podcat does the expansion also include political and other fixes? Such as correcting prime ministers?

Would make sense. It'd be nice to get an Irish tree, though, and depending on what this 'autonomy' thingamajig is, maybe they could just be a Commonwealth member with massive autonomy and a spirit that makes them unlikely to accept a call to war (removable through focus tree) or an early national focus for the '37 constitution.

There are many events that could be included. Treaty ports, abdication crisis, land annuities/economic war, League of Nations membership (the Italian invasion of Abyssinia convinced DeValera that large nations would only act in their own interest - he was president of the LoN assembly at the time), and the constitution could make up a very interesting diplomatic tree. Ireland certainly claimed it had full legislative autonomy but until the war and due to the treaty ports, followed the same foreign policy as its near neighbour.

I am not sure how much of that (Political Leaders) the Devs are doing for Britain & the Commonwealth, but I could use some help here (names & jobs they were doing in the time period and I will look them up).
