You need a Staff DLC to cut down on the amount of micromanagement and Individual personnel losses during battles.

I just want a Soviet Union rework. The Eastern Front should be a massive epic affair, not merely throwing men on a line till one runs out then driving to Kamchatka. Maybe Bulgaria and Finland could get trees, as well as a Poland rework.

We could also get a Mediterranean pack with an Italy rework, finishing the Majors, and possibly focus trees for Greece, Turkey and Brazil (they fought in Italy and would fill out more of Latin America alongside Mexico).

I noticed that you mentioned in hoi4 dev Diary - 1.9.1 Patch & roadmap update that "every country on the stage has custom portraits of historical leaders", but I didn't see the custom portraits of Liberian leaders after the update. Is the custom portraits of Edwin Barclay in Liberia forgotten?

In addition, can you ask if Bulgaria will get an exclusive focus tree in the future?

Considering they want to give every country that exists on the map in 1936 a unique tree we will definitely see one eventually, it also helps that Bulgaria was in the war so they'll have higher priority, at least they should.... But we'll see, in DoD they were determined to "not have enough to make a tree out of", but hey, at least Czechoslovakia got one right?

Question:

Game 1:
I was playing as Germany and noticed that allies landed in force (yay). However there was a large number of US troops, which was odd in 1942 it caught me unexpected. I checked Japan and they rampaged through southeast asia, occupying asutralia and New Zealand.

Game 2:
I started another game as Germany, full historical no shenanigans. Once again after US joins allies they destroy Italy and push through Yugoslavia and once again try multiple landings in France. Japan? Untouched.

Game 3:
Hands off game as Venezuela. I swapped and joined the allies in 1941 after US joins the war. They are landing and sending all their troops to North Africa and France. Not a single troop against Japan (who just conquered Dutch East Indies)

Conclusion:
In all 3 games US AI seems wonky and they put 0 emphasis on Japan and go full anti-Axis. Is this only an issue on my game? The treath assessment seems to be off. Also in the Venezuela game Japan just occupied Raj.
My game: Unmoded. Not Beta.
The reason I ask is that I read through the patch notes and do not see any mention of the US AI. Maybe others raised it in the 12+ pages of this thread, didn't read through all. If this isn't an outlier, I'll drop it in the bugs section.

I will give you a better quote: "We didn't make a focus tree for Bulgaria because in order to make them interesting we would NEED to make alternate history choices":confused::confused:
I would've accepted Bulgaria not being in DoD a lot better if Czechoslovakia wasn't in it, saying for one country not enough and the other to have enough despite that country NOT EVEN EXISTING BEFORE THE WAR, then sure whatever. While true Bulgaria didn't do much during the war, they still did some small stuff here and there, occupied parts of Yugoslavia and Greece and had potential and feasible alternate history paths.

Also being briefly at with both the Allies, Axis and Commintern at the same time (early September 1944) and fighting the Germans in Yugoslavia and Hungary as part of the Allies (but nobody knows about that :().

just thought it would be cool for wunderwaffen, if Antarctica had some form of representation like it does in Victoria 2. Maybe like if Germany gets some event, or places X number of Civ factories for some decision, Germany gets an off map dockyard or two, or gets a national spirit like, "Antarctica sub bases" , sub naval range + X%. or "producing whale oil" and get like -1 or -X% consumer goods factories. maybe make this open to numerous powers. have events look into and maybe destroy the base if your one of the allies. New Swabia! just an idea that i read somewhere else that i want to remind ppl of.

Really hoping that one day the focus system is removed entirely in favor of something that prioritizes player agency more so than railroaded, instant result focuses.

Separate roads and rails and have weather be far more damaging to road based transport than rails. This has been on the to be fixed since the game was released.

If you want crazy Wonder Weapons that are completely unrealistic and have no connection with reality, I recommend you check out R56. I pray to God Paradox doesn't get into that quagmire. It's just too silly.

If you want crazy Wonder Weapons that are completely unrealistic and have no connection with reality, I recommend you check out R56. I pray to God Paradox doesn't get into that quagmire. It's just too silly.
Yeah I'm not a fan of the arctic stuff being in the game, it's a little too fantasy and would create a whole new system for territory that frankly isn't required
