I don't know why ace death/kill notifications stopped working then. But now they no longer work, which is important since now you're supposed to lose war support if your aces get shot down (you gain war support when aces are generated), so it's having a greater effect on the game.
I think I have the history of changes between 1.3 and 1.4 at home, I'll look into it. But the current events seem quite straightforward, not much can be broken there. If I were to put my money on something right now it would be broken on_action itself, not the events.

If I were to put my money on something right now it would be broken on_action itself, not the events.
That was my thought too when I last bugreported it a short time ago.

It's annoying because you dont see the aircraft types involved when aces are shot down without those events.

The transports are still not taking optimal naval routes in the latest patch, it wasn´t like this in 1.4.2

Looked for it but could not find it: first of all, I love the mod. Second: transport is an issue (but you are working on that one)
Third: case Anton is Still not fixed. Is that correct?

Really appreciate the way you guys are executing this expansion and the after sales of it. Someone needs to say that. Compliments!

As far as we can tell, there is nothing wrong with Case Anton. Whenever I have tried to recreate the circumstances it has worked for me. I am utterly at a loss why it was not working in the one save I received. If you have more cases of it 'not working', please upload a save and describe what part of it isn't working.

It worked just fine for me in singleplayer, two friends that tested it in singleplayer and also worked yesterday in Multiplayer. ( All in 1.5.2 ).

I isolated what is going on with the combat sounds you hear randomly, well, it's apparantly combat that is going on nowhere near your camera. Got my camera over France as the Spanish Civil War is going on and it's playing constantly, it's really, really annoying.

I think sound should play of combat if your camera is actually over it, like not even just edging the battle, but actually have the camera over it properly. Either way, the way it works now it plays the combat noises even though you're not even near the battle at all.

I have to say what I would guess is supposed to be cannon sounds is what is making that clonking noise, I thought it was just some random noise but realise now it's probably meant to sound like a gun/cannon. It doesn't though.

I recorded it in a video but I don't think I need to upload it anywhere when it's so easy to check yourself. Just start as any country, say Sweden, turn off music, zoom to France and wait for the Spanish civil war to begin and you can see yourself how it plays even though you really should not hear any.

The history files take the names for the divisions from the namelist files, so this is not necessary.
oh, interesting, i'll check this later, i did not know that was the case and just thought that it would use the names you added in the history files but number them sequentially, and so i noticed they still use apostrophes rather than brackets there

anyway, if that's the case then of course i apologize

you could take a look at the other feedback in post #196 though, and un-link the 7th Armored Division from its naming pattern in the 1939 scenario file and re-name it correctly (it was not called 7th Arm. until 1940)

oh and the mediterannean fleet was based in malta in jan. 1936, not alexandria

Hello there, I think this is the right place to report this "bug"/improvment for 1.5.2 an further patches. So have you noticed that the AI don't build medium tanks (excluding Germany)? Only USA and SU build a lot of outdated light tanks and tank divisions and don't even research the '43 light tank. In 1.4.3 at least the UK and SU build medium tanks. So now to my appeal: please make the USA, UK, SU build medium tanks too.

The history files take the names for the divisions from the namelist files, so this is not necessary.
Maybe you could take a look to the Konoe Shidan. It is called as the 601 Jidoushoka Shidan because Japanese motorized name list has not the Konoe Shidan name as the Infantry one does, maybe it could be easily fixed? :rolleyes:

We will try to fix as many of these bugs as we can, but you have to understand that they are not very high on the priority list, compared to things that actually break gameplay or balance.

yeah i understand, and i thank you for your previous fixes and the team overall for their hard work, so please don't think me ungrateful

btw last minor thing, did you ever give the solomon islands their correct owner? it is currently australia but should be the uk, that's a very simple fix but if it's already correct now then just ignore me

It would be nice if the AI coordinated its actions, it is often possible to observe single tank divisions in Africa without supply.
I recently made such a test, first of all I researched Canada, US and UK the first medium tank and created templates for the countries of the Allies of 6 medium tanks battalions and 4 motorized battalions to make 20 width. As a result, Canada, US and UK sent their tank divisions to Belgium at the end of the 39th, and in 41 Germany's recruits ended, Italy occupied France, and Belgium still held out. Germany was on Service by requirement (10%) conscription and with 0 manpower available.
And single tank divisions that explore the vastness of Africa and it was already medium tanks but what's the difference (medium or not) if the AI does everything in its own way.
