please make the random invasions stop, its not realistic to having UK send troops to Poland in 1939 first month of war, and invade northern germany all the time, at least make it so that if they choose the franco-british alliance (not union) they only can send troops to germany via french mainland, so that these nonsense stops. Also, stop making venezuela wanting to send volunteers to the invasion of poland all the time, i made 4 games, and in all of them there were venezuelans in europe, even in other countries that i did not control

I'm glad that the issue has been recognized so quickly, but what is the reason behind this mechanic? I'm struggling to see a gameplay nor historical justification for this cross faction automatic access feature.

It probably wasn't a game play change, but a mechanical one to enable the AI. It was probably made to ensure that allied AIs know who's territory is friendly or not (simplifying the amount of AI calculations, probably). Obviously, if anything messes with the AI, it has a real possibility of breaking the battle plan system, which makes their reticence to change it quickly forgivable in my book.

I am looking forward to seeing them fix it, though. Mutual enemies behavior is making my enemies not attack me and colonize weird places (Russians have South Africa now...).

Played for three hours then had a CTD. Otherwise seems slightly better. :p

It is an alternate history game.
well, the actual point of the game was to have the possibility to do whatever you wanted, to be a true sandbox, and if it is the case i should be able to have a realistic playtrough, i'm not saying that it uk sending troops is not historical, well that too, but my point is that it is unrealistic, the amount of naval invasions in this game is... game breaking. UK invaded me 3 tiems in a row in 3 different places, even one in east prussia, it is ridiculous even. You can say whatever you want, but you can't deny that this game needs improvements in a historical and gameplay manner. (Im not saying that it should always be historical, i just think that you should be able to do something for it to go this way, maybe like hearts of iron 3 was, britain never invaded me before 1943 there.)

So, it seems a CTD was introduced. Good thing we did the beta patch thing :) Make sure you use the Ungraceful exit crash info uploader every time you crash and we'll have data to look at today for solving it.

yeah, its something to balance for sure.

MUCH MUCH MUCH Faster now, and I am only at 1942. At top speed before, every hour was about 1 sec, now it looks like it's about three times faster at top speed. Thanks!

I still wish it would be much faster, though...but great improvement in speed.

Thats a big, scary change that will need a lot of long term testing. It was done for a reason a couple of months back and I am not sure if we have solved everything needed to remove it. We'll be checking it out over time though.
Here's a small change that needs very little testing: please change

WAR_SCORE_AIR_WORTH = 0.5

to

WAR_SCORE_AIR_WORTH = 0.05

Great news. This will fix a couple of my immediate problems at least, such at the late game performance. Also just great that you release portraits in a "smallish patch" - very hopeful for the Dev diary about future patching.
