Yugoslavia _became_ an Allied GiE after that DoW. They still are annexed and rebels that spawn in their former territory are normal rebels, not partisans. Oh well, at least it didn't cause Germany DoW me.

Oh, and Hungary's capital is in Ruthenia which they got via Vienna Award event because it moved when I was conquering them.

If you DoW GOD, a decision will end the war, telling you not to do it again. Ever.
Also note that "Inaccessible Island" is called that for a reason

Here is my favourite Hearts of Iron III result so far:

I was playing as USA and this is after a long slugfest with Germany. There was a truce but Germany were still a part of the Axis. I declared war on Axis Hungary and it meant I was at war with Germany again. I had nuked Germany so many times their national unity was tremendously low, so anyone who took a valuable province first would make them surrender. I was poised to take Berlin but it just so happened that Luxembourg took Bitburg.

Now that's what I call revenge.

This result was worth the many hours slogging it out almost alone against Germany to get to this point.

I don't know what Germans heard about army of Luxemburg but they must be really scared of them. You could conquer France with all the tanks based around luxemburgian border:

The unit flags are an interesting bunch. Is Poland a German puppet? because the Polish HOs flags and INF looks like German units. I see two shades of green. Could one of the greens be from that Italian/German Tank? Right next to it is what looks like a Slovakia/ Hungarian unit. <S> Gotta love expeditionary forces

You're on the money . The dark green is Italy and the light is Hungary, which are still part of the Axis, but Germany is a puppet of the UK (puppeted not long before this screenshot) and Poland is a very newly liberated member of the Allies - so the Polish German units are presumably expeditionary forces given to Poland from Germany, while that grey stack east of Lodz is non-German units given to Germany as EFs prior to Germany being puppeted (of which there are presumably Hungarians underneath that Slovakian HQ). The Soviets were at war with Germany, which is where their odd bits of Poland come into it, and it looks like at least some of the bits of Poland containing German units also became UK-controlled for some reason.
