HoI3 - Strange Screenshots

We should have a thread like that for each Paradox game and I have a screenshot that is a good start for that.

Here's Japan doing it right (for once!):

Notice how except for main invasion in Shanghai they also landed on Hainan and took naval bases there over. Also notice lone Nat. China force on Taiwan, they held most of the island at some point but lost the port and supplies to Japanese tanks brought to retake the island.

Thats not that odd, before the update it was but after 1.2 its common for japan to invade in that spot, i've repelled them out of china from that spot several times in one game

Heres a weird one. Poland has capitulated and gone GiE in my German game. Yet they still manage to run convoys out of Danzig, much to my surprise

They must have a Skill lvl 99 Blockade runner on that convoy! :rofl:

Nat. Spain allied with Italy and called them to arms in their domestic war. Italy intervened... and annexed Republican Spain. Now after war with Axis started, UK landed in there in an attempt to liberate Rep. Spain:

How can you anex some part of poland and some not?

Those two transports might have been submarines... Still, I think that there was at least one polish sub that escaped from Baltics and then sunk some german ships in the North sea.

The Bialystok bulge is right where the Russian light armored division is sitting, across from the gap in my line

The original surrender event for Poland hands eastern Poland over to the Soviets, and gives the soviets cores for them as well but it doenst hand over north western Poland to Germany where Germany has its cores. This didnt seem right to me so I modified the event a little to hand over to Germany the lands on which it gets its cores. The remaining land in the middle represents occupied Poland, from which the Polish government in exile can try to run a resistance movement from.

well, maybe they're prescient. If they knew how Monty was going to use them in Normandy and Holland, they SHOULD have been afraid of the brits.

I think the highest threat in that part of the diplomacy screen still displays the country that is your highest threat, not the selected country. And considering the neutrality stats, I'd guess that I'm Canada's highest threat.
