It's a little disappointment that the answer to many of the issues with the map and game are "It's been fixed in a mod."

I think it's fantastic. The dev team makes a game to their liking, and then so many people are engaged enough to take time to mod the game into what they want it to be. Which means that you as the player can choose exactly how you want the game to be (almost). We could never make everyone happy right out of the box since opinions vary so much anyway.

Oh, come on. If you made Tigers have 75mm guns instead of 88mm, some people would not care and the ones who know would be disappointed.
The same issue with maps

Not a very good example. If we asked a bunch of forumites/modders to fix the first one, everyone would change it to 88mm. If asked the same about the map, we'd get a different setup from each one. Determining what's "correct" when it comes to the map is way harder, if at all possible. There will always be someone who disagree with some of the choices you make).
