Ok, I can't for the life of me work it out after looking for ages (and i realise the irony...) but where is the search function on this forum. Its not in forum tools or quick links and cant see a button. If there isnt one then that would explain why there are so many repetitive treads starting, but seems strange. I know there is a search in FAQ but seems thats just searching the FAQ section...
I suspect I am being slow but I will take the flak and ask:
"Can someone help me search for the search button?"
Or if not I will have to go ahead and start a new thread that might have already convered it.

Search function is deactivated on Pdox forum for performance reason (i think).
Only solution is to use google and to restrict search on forum.paradoxplaza.com domain.
Due to the heavy load searching places on the servers, there are no search fucntions in this forum.
Aha, thanks. That helps me feel a little better about not being stupid (in this particular case). I was looking for ages though...

I think they have gotten new servers since they disabled search. The problem is that searching puts a tremendous load on the servers, particularly given they're soon to hit the ten million post mark (your post was 9,915,819).
Wouldn't it be possible to just implement that Google Powered search thing. If it works the way I think it does that would mean forum integration plus the benefit of the search being on someone else's (Google) servers?

we did, now we can handle 3000 users instead of 1000.
if 3000 is stable, we'll upgrade again.
Alright, there are now sub-sections. It appears you can also now regestier your game for when you recieve it which should completely unlock it.
Forum sections, like the "Modifications", "Bug Reports" or "Multiplayer" ones will be accessible upon game registration - that is when "Hearts of Iron 3" will be released, at the earliest.
