Alright, not really a request, but a question indeed.
I noticed that several flag sites state that the Republic of Korea used a flag which Paradox uses (the weird looking one), and I found a picture of using the flag when Korea declared independence. This dated back to 1948.
And here's an earlier one, taken during the period of the ROK-in-exile in China, 1940 probably. You can see the flag looks just like the one that we see today.
Now here's the question: Since both flags were used by the ROK officially, I don't think that they were different only because of the specifications of the flag. What I want to know is that why they used the modern flag in 1940, probably changed it in 1948, then finally changed it back to the original one later. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information regarding this.
