I just bought a copy of Hearts of Iron Platinum and installed it on my 1Ghz PC. The game is running too fast. A second in real time equates to an hour of game time. I have changed the speed setting to Very Slow but its still unplayable with far too many pop-up boxes coming at once and the game running at too quick a pace overall. Is there a way to get round this? Thanks.

You can pause the game by pressing pause on your keyboard or by clicking on the clock in the higher right hand side of the game screen, that way you can take your time giving orders and reading popups
