steel was a problem when fighting the allies, but after they capitulated, the only thing i have now is a chromium shortage. i did not have enough for both ship building and spg building demands. i had to invade cuba, and turkey for em earlier, but still with the amount of factories oil and steel i have, there is still a huge shortage and factories not being able to do much production. south africa had a civil war so they stayed axis. i dont know if i should fight in south africa to lure german units away from europe. their overwhelming air superiority and tech and nuke advantage is a pain. i know that i can win but its going to take a very long time. im not sure if just replaying the game from before i declared on nationalist china.

from captured equipment, i have a TON - 1.3 million infantry equipment, over 120k artillery, 130k suport equipment...but unfortunately the allies only had a few hundred tanks. i dont even want to make more inf divisions in the far east since theres not enough supply for them. my european inf divisions have full support units, plus 1 heavy 1 spg, while the far east inf divisions are 7 inf 2 art. im at the pooint of i want a end to the war soon (my personal war exhaustion :p )

because of the backwardness in tech if i ever do replay Battlecry again, i think the smart strategy would be instead of annexing japan completely, just puppet japan while taking his resource rich provinces. then diplo annex japan so that u will have this whole fleet. im pretty sure, the time it takes to diplo annex them would still be much shorter than having to build a fleet. it was a pain with guanxi's slow tech (u gotta prioritise) that my fleet of 1 cv, 2 bb, 1 bc, 70 dd, would would get mauled. and i would have to fight usa fleets (4cv more bbs and heavy and light cruisers) at a 3 to 1 numerical advantage to win

You don't need DD or BC. Just build 6 BattleShips IV. Tech Advantage in ships are devestating, and since the AI doesn't really build modern ships..

With 6 Battleships which fight to Half-Strength, instead 75%, you should win every single sea battle, without loosing a ship. You maybe have to repair them now and then, but with only 6 Ships this goes pretty fast. If you wanna improve your "fleet" build 4 CV, and 10~20 LC. The LC can defeat enemy Subs, DD and LC, and are just more ships for Seazone Coverage/Dominance.

As a research stripped nation, it is rather easy only to research BattleShips and LC, and no Shiomodell else.

ya, i do 4 cv in all my fleets and usually go CL not DD (was planning on building CL later on, which i did after i got the tech). i had built 3 CVs at the time and had to split em into 2 fleets to do the amphibous landing (the other fleet had the 2 more advanced carriers for the range to west coast the fleet that got mauled was the DD1 and CV1 around hawaii.). i was building mostly dd in the beginning because i wanted to increase fleet size asap to start amphibous landing, also wasnt as resource intensive plus id rather research plane, carrier, industry and infantry land tech with the 3 slots. in the early mid game (after japan has fallen).

Finally won the war and got my Battlecry achievement :)
i had built up to 1100 divisions, and attacked multiple fronts at the same time, from the far east, south africa, egypt, greece, belgium, gibraltar, and the uk. was able to pocket 400 divisions in 2 fronts...but axis still had over 1600 divisions, so i staged a coup centered around kamchatka...luckily the socialist germany got 500 divisions but was bugged and wasnt moving in that corner at the east, so i still did all the fighting. had to use over 50 nukes tactically to move the greek and belgium fronts.

ugh..i dont wanna do this again for the other 2 achievements.

"The good, the bad and the weird"
If historic focuses are off; depending upon what weird stuff AI Japan & China does in this run; this can be an extremely easy and simply a matter of building.

Should AI Japan actually go down either Democratic or Japan path (rare) : You get set free and depending upon what AI China does can stay out of war entirely while building up the infrastructure and tech.

Should AI Japan go down the non-aligned path; it's going to greatly postpone (and perhaps out right cancel) the normal Chinese war without the Marco Polo focus. (Japan could still declare war on China via war justification prior to Japan reaching the non aggressive treaty with China focus; China can still pick a fight with Japan) On some runs this will give plenty of time for the obedience path to get the achievement without the host of penalty events for being in an offensive war with abysmal war support.

Should AI Japan under non-historical go down the war with China path; considering how fast this happens under historic focuses, about the only way it could be worse than historical is if in that run they do less Manchuria project foci before Marco Polo incident than Historic Focuses with Human playing Manchuko. I would tend to agree that under obedience those penalty events sucking all political power is more of an obstacle than the Chinese armies and that a human Manchuko player is much better off going Assertivess when AI Japan goes down this path.

"Australia-Hungary"
To me, this appears to be another one of those in which having historic focuses off has a strong potential for making the achievement easier.
There is a chance that Romania will join Poland's suicide pact. If they do then Hungary will most likely have full ownership of all its cores as that faction will sign a peace treaty over they get overrun.
There is a chance that Hungary will commit suicide via Pact of Rome and Austria refusing to join Germany combo; which makes Germany easier to defeat than normal when WW II starts. (That's if AI Italy still withdraws for the pact one hour after joining like in 1.4; if they stay in, it can't do anything but make things easier.)

When it comes to the Manchukuo achievements, you can complete all of them in one run.
You want Japan to go historical, first of all. Other options lead to funky results or Japan joining another faction, which creates a whole new shitfest.
Be sure to do Assertiveness as soon as Japan pumps you up, for obvious reasons.
Once Japan declares on China, don't accept. Japan should be able to progress on his own(he did in my run).
Just relax and prepare your nation for war. Go Mass Mob into 6INF templates. 9.6 width means you rock on the defensive. Screw cavalry, they are horrendous by the time you go to war(insert politically incorrect joke about Yoshiko here)
Go 5 people theory, overall the bonuses are better. Especially White Russian advisors.
Try to get Falkenhausen and Cherepanov before any of the other Chinas do. Good generals, very useful.
Right before you declare war, join the war vs China. You wanna make sure both sides are crippled so you can roll in and claim victory.
As for the war, make like a Russian and Rush B(usan). Put 3INF divs on guarding Korea and you'll be fine.
Overwhelm the Japanese, whilst also pushing into the Chinese. Hopefully in your game China will lead the faction instead of the Communists, so your frontline is more reasonable
Once you liberate China from the Japanese, do not accept peace. Kill the Chinas, because the loot is all yours.
As for the Infra achievement, it is ok to stall it a bit so you can complete it, but the Oil you can get by just enacting all the resource decisions.
Once you have the entirety of China, Japan will probably have most of its planes based in Taiwan, bombing Hong Kong or whatever. Once you amass a fleet of Fighters and Transports, paradrop into the crippled Japan, acquire a port(preferably Hiroshima), and reinforce the Paratroops with an army. Paradrop mechanics are still broken so it actually works
Once you finish off Japan, annex it all. Given how HoI4 has turned into a WW1 Simulator, Soviets will probably have like 10 million Casualties and be stuck around Kiev by the time you prevail, So Sinkiang is easy pickings.
I was overjoyed once I completed everything.

After that you can complete other achievements, like Nuking, doctrines, 1948 and Lethal Straight in my case(hence a released puppet Japan :D)
Do you know when historical jap does The focuses that support manchukuo, I started a new game yesterday and the third focus I took was assertiveness, will that cause japan to not do The Manchurian project? Sorry I’m just confused by your wording a bit

Overall Japan loves pumping you up early if you're the player. Just don't pick Assertiveness before they do all the factory focuses

So for the German empire achievement to get a carribaen island. Does it have to be owned after a peace deal or is just occupying it enough?

If France goes Humanite Unie, you are pretty much set, as their only ally will probably be Republican Spain

As Manchukuo, if Japan pulls you into its faction (I've seen it happen to me before) does that ruin the The Dragon Swallowed the Sun achievement? Also is it possible to go down the obedience and still get the achievement for possibly easier growth?

I think you can be in a faction but at the time you annex Japan you must not be in a faction. I made a faction with the warlords that were my puppets, i later disbanded the faction and was still able to get the achievement

June/July 1937 I believe
To be precise it's July 20, 1937 (from the define files) :
JAP_purge_the_kodoha_faction #March 10 1936
JAP_army_expansion_law #May 20 1936
JAP_guide_the_zaibatsus #July 30 1936
JAP_new_naval_estimates #October 10 1936
JAP_army_expansion #December 20 1936
JAP_liaison_conference #February 30 1937
JAP_greater_east_asian_co_prosperity_sphere #May 10 1937
JAP_intervene_in_china #July 20 1937

However, if the human is playing Manchucko:
JAP_purge_the_kodoha_faction #March 10 1936
JAP_the_manchurian_project #May 20 1936
JAP_expand_manchurian_railways #July 30 1936
JAP_light_industry_development #October 10 1936
JAP_heavy_industry_development #December 20 1936
JAP_liaison_conference #February 30 1937
JAP_greater_east_asian_co_prosperity_sphere #May 10 1937
JAP_intervene_in_china #July 20 1937

Also, I seemed to have left out an idea for Australia-Hungary: Rather than choosing between Fascists and Democracy, why not take a page from the guide for Australia getting "Once More Mate" and go Comintern and attack from USSR after Germany and the Axis declare on them; let axis capture all of Hungary's cores and any adjoining land if by chance Germany declares war before they finish conquering Eastern Europe. (Get warscore as needed to get USSR to give you cores; if war ends too early prioritize those areas in the peace conference.)
