Do you think we will get a release by summer next year? I know Stellaris is taking priority and is already in beta, and that they don't like to release in Q4. So if Stellaris comes out in Q1 of 2017, HOI should be close behind, right?

15 months that seems quite a long time considering they seem to keep submitting beta builds why cant it be q3 of 16?

Actually, HOI is a priority to the team. I've read somewhere that Johan said that Stellaris and HOI will have distanced releases, and that HOI will release first.
Edit: he said it on Twitter some months ago.
Adding to that, it seems that all HOI needs is polishing and ironing the bugs, while Stellaris still doesn't have some core gameplay mechanics implemented.

We dont know, and we wont know until Paradox approves a beta submission. Im pretty sure that podcat and crew are working as hard as they possibly can, so all we can so is wait.

Yeah, but last year it was obvious that they are going to delay the game. We only had like 12 DDs in february, and no gameplay videos to speak of.
Now we have WWW where you can see the game working. It is in a good shape it is going to get released this year. Devs also want to get paid after all.(So does the owner of the company.)

Recent interviews confirm this is dated information. Stellaris is nearing completion and may be released before HOI. It definitely will be released in 2016.

You would get a second disagree for unnecessary speculation due to obviously not even trying to read all the other threads about this topic, where we clearly have confirmed that for Stellaris they "See the finishing line" and it will definetely be released this year. Likely even in Q2.
HoI will follow sooner or later, but we have enough confusion in this discussion, please hold to the facts that are confirmed.

Both games are coming "later this year", which has been said in various interviews. I know, that the wait is annoying and sometimes the "patience is a virtue" thing gets me mad, because the ait is already so long now...But plz stop posting such threads. It really serves no purpose and gets people angry. Just wait, relax and see the announcements of the games soon coming...

I honestly wouldn't be surprised at this stage if it doesn't, and it is not a troll post to say so: preparing the next beta submission is going to take at least another month or two, and beta itself will take 3-6 months. Take the maximum amount of time (assuming acceptance at next beta submission) at 8-9 months an you're already looking at Q4, and Paradox have traditionally not launched in that quarter due to the competition from big-name games.
A Q3 release is the safest bet at this moment, but a 2017 release is not impossible.

I know OP is trolling, but they're still not in beta and they delayed their game over a year now. Also they seem to be stuck in development hell. So, I wouldn't be too surprised, if it turns out HOI4 is released in 2017.
Sure, Q2/Q3 2016 is way (!) more plausible and realistic, but I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of a 2017 release.

Really? Are there still not in Beta? I thought spreading the Beta at last month but...
Starting Beta check, it usually will not spend long time to release, in my software business. Why? Stellaris?
Johan has already said that HoI4 will be released 'somtime this year', no way this game will run on any longer than strictly necessary. We have seen it working very well with two major countries and with what looks like all the necessary elements in place, so it will be a few more months is all. If they have submitted a Beta and it was rejected then obviously the team genuinely thought it was about ready for Beta, but perhaps it was just a bit too buggy and the AI wasnt good enough. Which means that its getting pretty close to Beta and once we get there is just tinkering and assets over hopefully a public beta phase - when we can all pre-order and contribute to the AI testing!
