HOI IV Pre-Order and Pre-Order Editions?

I recently took a check on the Steam Store to discover that Stellaris had a Pre-Order. First thing that went through my mind was if Hearts of Iron IV Was going to have the same. Coming into detail, there were even 3 separate editions. (Base Game, Nova Edition and Galaxy Edition each with each having a higher price than the other) My questions would mainly be, do you think that HOI IV will have the same price, editions or even a pre-order? Stellaris' pre-order came out 20-ish days before release, so will we see a Hearts of Iron IV Pre-Order on the Steam store around early May?

I imagine they will. Stellaris being a new game for them its a bigger risk to do several editions. When compared to the established tank of a franchise of HOI. They will be making all the stops for hearts of iron. Editions and exclusive content for certain editions. There was a blog post recently done by Johan that described that paradox wanted to offer more "optional" content. If you want it you can buy it but it may only add ascetics or other not primarily game play things to their games. I'll be buying the King Tiger II edition of hoi when it comes out. Cause i love it so much and want to support paradox. If (when) i buy Stellaris it'll just be the base edition.

of course there will be pre-order for HoI IV. They most likely do the 3 tier system aswell, with the soundtrack being in the second tier just as with Stellaris. Third tier would be another digital collectors edition probably with a signed wallpaper and a digital art book just as with stellaris. For ingame content i could imagine additional emblems for your divisions.

Despite knowing little of Stellaris I preordered because it sounded like an excellent idea. But I specifically didn't buy the special editions because I knew there'd be a super-duper edition of HoI4 which I'd have to get.

i got the nova edition because i love the soundtrack. As much as i love the game and paradox i didnt saw it as reasonable for me to drop 20€ extra (70€) on a purely digital collectors edition tho.

I do like the preorder bonuses of stellaris (not so much the nova and collectors editions). Launching my name into space (or near earth orbit?) via weather balloon sounds great. Of course for HOI4 they will have to step their bonus up a bit, so perhaps a Paradox Studios field trip to Peenemunde to launch all our names on a new built V-2?

Pre-ordered the most expensive edition of Stellaris. Even at £55 for the game, spread over 500 hours, that's still criminally cheep entertainment.

Will be doing the same with HOI:4 next month.
