I would be faster to just buy a new computer, or maybe just a new processor. It sounds like the issue is very specific to whatever build you have (a patch might not even fix anything), so try swapping out components and see if it changes. Out of curiosity, what are your specs?

Tried using the 4gb patch since i had not tried that. Loading takes a shit long time, but we get there. Pick 1936 scenario with Germany. It starts loading. Now it doesnt just crash when getting to "Adapting to history" it even gives me a blue screen! Well that has not happened before, but it still is no solution!

That's because you're posting your problem in the wrong forum. You've registered your game so you can post in the tech support forum were it is supposed to be posted. You'll have an easier time to get a solution there.
 
Yeah, right, posting in the tech support forum for a year, making new threads and posting in old ones has lead to never having this issue solved. So no, you are very, very wrong.

The technical forum is not a place were people go very often if they don't have any problems. I for one don't have the know how to give advice on how to solve problems you like you are experiencing.

The people who do know are a minority on these forums and have other commitments besides figuring out problems. Which is why it takes time for someone to review your issues. But then again I could be very, very wrong again.
 
Yeah, I thought the tech support forum should be monitored by Paradox staff, so they get payed to help out customers. I had no idea it was for other customers to help other customers with their problems.

@1030: Yeah, I hope to see that patch too. I tried the LAA.exe and it was of no help to me unfortunatly... :(
 
So I just DL'ed the individual games from Gamersgate and then installed in this order per the first page, is this still right?

1. Hearts of Iron III
2. Hearts of Iron III: Semper Fi
3. Hearts of Iron III: For the Motherland
4. Their Finest Hour
5. TFH Patch 4.02

After installing TFH and starting it to see if installed correctly I noticed the checksum was GSKH 4.02. So the Gamersgate DL of TFH now includes patch 4.02.

Just register your game and you can ask the question again in the Moding subforum where it belongs. ;)
 
This patch broke my game I think.....Using it through steams makes it load up to maplogic then says "virtualfilesystem.ccp line:624 not found" as a file exception.....so TF won't run but all previous expansions will....?
