for China this is simply not true, because you need to anex the Communists and if possible also Shanxi before the war with Japan. And Japan will attack in July 47 because its an event.
I used the download from the Steam forums and it appears to have worked, but I dont have a UUMR Checksum. Just to make sure, this is normal for Steam right?
Is anyone still having an issue with camera zoom fuzziness or jerkiness? If so do you have an NVIDA graphics card?
I think activating reserves in a volunteer nation costs more than a nation with conscription laws.
I don't know if it's normal still. I think the checksum is suppose to be the same after 3.02. I had the same problem so I totally re-installed the game.

Bought via Impulse, had some initial problems on start-up (CTD first couple times), just DL'ed 3.03 -- but get the can't find Motherland error... Making matters worse, actually spent most of last night and this morning swapping out HDs as I developed a significantly bad corrupt sector on the other so I've little doubt my registry is still a mess -
Am I correct that I just need to pop the installer for 3.03 in the HOI3 program files directory then manually launch rather than a straight launch from browser download?
Sorry for clogging with what's probably an easy answer, but I made a holy mess of things in my HD swap so I'm a bit gunshy charging ahead like I might normally until I get something to work (thank god for knoppix but even then, manual transfer around a black hole = not fun!)
OK - not so easy and I'm anxious to play, so to heck with it... Tried moving into game directory, but still not recognized. Is it necessary to move to a different install location if you're not going to wait for the digital distributor to update? Patch doesn't seem to recognize install...

Mine from Gamersgate and after patch 3.03 have Checksum UUMR. I take it this is OK??
OOps just checked first page and it says there UUMR good shows I always read newspapers back page first
Facepalm, how about you read my first "useless" post? Everything is written there. National unity lowers, org/pop changes, ruling party/govrement type/ministers stay the same. Attempting a coup is waste of spies and time.
If you take a look at comsubpac's posts, you'll see that he is constantly making these kinds of knee-jerk posts. Occasionally he helps someone, but as often as not he just ... reacts. I tried to respectfully point it out once. He reacted. *shrugs* Don't know what else to do.

Yes, you can't do that. which is why its probably WAD. Nat china annexing everyone before '37 is a bit unrealistic afterall, i'd say.
Please can the change spy mission popup text display the mission you are changing to as the tick disappears from the checkbox and with my shaky hands i sometimes hit the wrong one and am then stuck with it
wow...this should bring nice invasions ...and much sooner...as before.
It looks like the USA's IC is at its 'War Economy' levels, which makes me think the issue in the screenshot is related to this bug:

Did you try resigning and restarting a game as the USA (or just check to see if it has 3-yr draft and War Economy as its laws)? IC and manpower should go back to their normal starting levels...
Both the USA and UK start out with War Economy and Three Year Draft. Obviously a bug. Germany starts with 3 year draft instead of the normal two year. Poland starts with War economy and 2 year draft. These are the ones Ive been able to find so far, can anyone else confirm?
China loosing to Japan is unrealistic too. Look how ive got the war.

Me(Nationalist China), Communist China and Shanxi, i imediatelly call my puppet XSM and the Guangxi Clique into the war and push with my armies into Mandshukuo, the conquered territorries become part of... Shanxi, which is barely attacking at all. While my troops fight there and make Mandshukuo surrender and be anexed by Shanxi the Japanese conquer Shanxi's capital (how? they were cut from any supply for a long time). All of Shanxi territory, including Mandshukuo become part of Japan and I can try to conquer them again. I lost 12 divisions because they got cut off from supplies when Shanxi had to surrender. Each was 3 inf and 1 art.
