Hoi dev clash?

Are they planning a Dev Clash in Hoi IV? I would be very interested in watching that!

They have done some multi dev games already. Not sure I can quantify it but they just didn't feel very good compared to the EU4 dev clash.

I suspect part of the problem is lack of map modes and ledger to give interesting data to the viewers but also they play no holds barred (which is fine) but doesn't really seemt o lead to very interesting consistent play.

I would like to see them try again in the future though, maybe with a few more simple rules/guidelines.

Might be possible after the dust settles on 1.5. Right now they are all hopping around like long tailed cats in a room full of rocking chairs.

I'd prefer a YouTuber Let's Play, actually. Like for example with the Quill18 gang .

They haven't said anything about doing a dev clash, but they will probably do one after waking the tiger release and before 1.6 is announced.

Anyone with a lot of competitive MP experience can tell you from past videos that the devs are pretty bad at this game. Where as they're generally alright, with some even being very good at EU4. That alone makes EU4 dev clashes much more interesting.

Then there's of course all the other tools that we don't have in HoI4, like the ledger, log, outliner, etc. other data displaying mechanisms that makes EU4 more interesting to watch.

Yeah the lack of outliner is surprisingly jarring on mp streams (though the lack when playing is obviously jarring).

I haven't enjoyed the HoI4 dev streams as much as I did their first one.

It was a 1v1 UK vs Germany. Johan ended up playing the UK and facing another dev- forgot his name. and I think Da9L took over.

Watching them play vs AI works for showing new mechanics, but it's just so boring overall. There's no drama or worry because Da9L's good at the game, and the AI is completely trash.

Have any dev clashes been conducted recently, now that the DLC is out? I'm interested to how the devs are playing now in response to the huge changes in the patch.

If they havn't, and are are planning one in the future - please don't make it a memey alt-history clash, please. Have devs on all the majors playing a historical game.
