Description
In this save, you can see that Italy owns all of Germany, Austria and Netherland; UK owns both sides of Suez Canal; Italian puppet Spain owns 1 side of Gibraltar Strait while UK owns the Gibraltar province and thus the other side of the strait. For good measure, I'll mention that Italian puppet Denmark ensures Italian access of Kiel Canal and The Danish Belts.
In this setup, when UK goes to war against Italy, Italian trades should route through northern European coast because there is continuous rail connection from any of the ports to Italian capital Rome, which is inland. However, the game is unable to compute as such. And resource from Italian owned Dutch East Indies and Suriname will be cut and imports from South American allies in the faction unavailable.
Supplies, meanwhile, can go through those 2 contested straits of Suez Canal and Gibraltar Strait. Oddly enough, at least for a (long in-game) time, the arbitrary supply bug as mentioned here in Dutch East Indies (in particular) will be fixed upon this trade bug.
Northern European coast is not the only possible trade route, however. It should also be possible to route through Persian Gulf via Italian Puppet Iran; or through Italian owned East Siberia; or through Italian owned Nordic ports. None are recognized by the game.
Steps to Reproduce
1) load attached save. Player is Italy.
2) wait until UK declares war on Italian puppet Iran
3) Observe the incorrect trade situation.
