Description
After you complete King Michael's Coup, you unlock 3 change sides decisions: to the Allies, to the Comintern and to the Axis.
- The Allies require you to be either non-aligned or democratic
- The Axis require you to be fascist.
- The Comintern requires you to be communist.
- They all require you to have Michael I as your leader, who is democratic.
This makes it impossible to change sides to the communists or fascists and makes the non-aligned criteria on the Allies path useless.
Even if the "have Michael I as your leader" criteria is removed for the communists and fascists. The "King Michael's Coup" focus effectively makes you overwhelmingly democratic, which means you can't turn fascist or communist for a long time.
In a previous topic where I talked about the issues of these decisions in 1.10.1 that were partially solved:
forum.paradoxplaza.com
I suggested to create a focus "Destory the Monarchy" located below "Handle the King" on the democratic path.
- This will make a communist or fascist coup against King Carol II (depending who has higher popularity, but they need at least 25% party popularity, at war and at least 25% world tension) in the same way "King Michael's Coup" makes a coup against the fascists/communists.
- This also unlocks 2/3 decisions (communist and fascist switch sides) while the historical "King Michael's Coup" will unlock only 1/3 decisions (allies switch sides)
As for the criterias of the decisions:
- For "Join the Allies": Remove the non-aligned criteria. Keep the "be democratic" and "have Michael I as your leader" criterias. It's impossible to have Michael I as your ruler and be non-aligned, not to mention unhistorical.
- For "Join the Comintern": Replace the "have Michael I as your leader" with "have Constantin Ion Parhon as your leader" (communist leader)
- For "Join the Axis": Replace the "have Michael I as your leader" with "have Corneliu Zelea Codreanu as your leader" (fascist leader) - plausible, considering his conflict with King Carol II.
Why Codreanu for the Axis? Because he's the only one of the fascists leaders who would do that. Octavian Goga was a supporter of Carol II. Ion Antonescu's coup against Carol II is on the historical path and he was firmly against switching sides even when it was clear they would lose. While Corneliu Zelea Codreanu was an ideological fascist.
Corneliu Zelea Codreanu went on record stating his contempt for Romania's alliances in Eastern Europe, in particular the Little Entente and the Balkan Pact, and indicating that, 48 hours after his movement came into power, the country would be aligned with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. If that doesn't make it the ideal candidate for "swithcing sides to the Axis Romania", I don't know what does.
I believe this will fix any bug that chain of events may have.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Pick Romania.
2. Play until you finish King Michael's Coup.
3. Notice the criterias of the change sides decisions.
4. Try to change sides to the communists or fascists.

Problems with Yugoslavia and Romania, and Suggestions for 1.10.2 Collie
Hi! Given that the topic is still hot and in hopes it's not too late, I would like to present some further suggestions and fixes for Yugoslavia and Romania, that can be implemented relatively quickly, using professionally made pictures totally...
