Hey there,

So basicly, as the owner of the FUWG Community, we host games. and we where really hyped for the waking the tiger. we hosted a game and waited like 1 hour in a lobby, (we did rehost before we started the ACTUAL game just in case) when we started the game it was all fine, as usual get a desync. ALL FINE WITH THAT. then another one. i was like okay that can happen. but then it kept sending out those desyncs. eventualy it was unplayable since everything went corrupt. factories, division, cant create frontlines, etc. this is like not fun, and at some points 6 people crashed at the same time, did repair the game did not fix it. as i paid 20 euros for the dlc i did request a fix for this!

Like its unplayable in the moment. Only think we can hope for, is that paradox, after grabbing the money from DLC will release a hotfix :) (Insane business tip: U can charge it for 9.99)

Yes, it is completely unplayable because it is unstable.

My group tried a vanilla game with the DLC, no mods or anything. The result was that it descynched about 10 times in a row in January 1936, so we didn't even make it to February 1936.

Hi all, obviously we didn't have these issues before launch or we would have fixed them.

For us to fix this we need to understand whats going on. For that we need either a very consistent way to reproduce it. just attaching a save and saying it totally happens isn't helpful.
Or we need a save and logs from at least the MP Host and one client who out of synced when the out of sync happens. So...
- "o we got a N2 OOS error"
- Host makes a save and copies their logs folder
- one, or multiple, clients who OOSed makes a save and copies their logs folder
- upload them to the forum

Thanks for your response, i have uploaded some logfiles, dumbfiles and more savefiles. if you need anything more you can simple ask us, as we are a community and like playing this game. you have the support from me and more then 30 other members of our community. What we do know is that even if we play with 2 people, we still get the desyncs. So maybe there is a file bugged in our games, but not in the game version that was seen at the 3 day war event/twitch livestreams, (wich i fully understand why you guys didn't knew). I watched the livestream and i saw myself there where like a very few amount of bugs. But for some reason we have this desync problem and unable to play multiplayer or we are forced to play with a desync game and multiple crashes. As im speaking for the people of the FUWG community we really like playing multiplayer agian, and we like the content you gave us.

What we did try to fix it?
-Tried fixing the cache in the launcher
-Continue playing with desync, resulted in crash.
-Repairing the game in steam.
-Me and a friend of my reinstalling the game, and tried MP agian stil did not fixed it.
-tried to desync only once a year, still turn out to be buggy.
-Restart the game after the desync.
-Hotjoining after desync.
-Different Hosts.

We tried alot because we where really hype for out first waking the tiger multiplayer game.

Few details:
-We where playing with around 30 people
-Singleplayer works fine.
EDIT: In these savefiles we where playing with 30 people atleast, (i believe its 33 people) and i livestreamed aswell how the desyncs happend i can clip that in twitch if that could be helpfull.

Hope this could help the proces of making multiplayer playable agian/atleast not have desynced games and game crashes.

Thanks. we will take a look and see if we can get some hint.

The absolute most useful thing for us if when you desynch you get the person that desynched and the host to zip up their saves (name them host and client) and give to us. its the easiest way to compare. you must use text based save files tho, binary will be hard to compare. you change that in settings.txt save_as_binary=no and everyone will need to do it.

Okay, well i know that there where so many clients that needed desync i could not keep record of it. i will try host a game today. at some point we had 12 people form the 33 people desync. So will try to figure something out, but in these savefile we didnt got far. we stopped playing after 29 jan. it was to much.

first person that does it is the important. the dumps are not MP related, so they are crashes we fixed now, but wouldnt cause OOS

But you atleast know the bug is happening and that people are not able to play multiplayer like we used to?

We dont know what could be causing it tho, I guess we may need to recruit some other team to help us test because we dont have 30ppl to test with :D

Is it ironic that exact that bug occured in the 3 day war stream on Paradox @twitch? What did the player do, to solve the problem? Restart the game. And you know what. I (as host) did the same with my two friends, who told me, that my game was no longer listed in the multiplayer lobby. After reloading it, I could play for hours without problems.

In my case the game stucked a little, shortly before that issue happened, (that didn't happened in 1.4. multiplayer sessions) but hard to prove. In my case, the desynch error was displayed, after I send 3 volunteer divisions to Spain and Germany at the same time, to support their civil war.

So ... becaues that never happened before, I would assume it has something to do with a new netcode ore other performance issues.

depends if it was the same. there is only one popup about out of synch, but millions and millions of things that could cause it. We could never reproduce the thing from the stream despite playing for two whole days.. and we didnt have that many player even in that streamed MP

I had the same problem, but if you save the game after it desynchs once, have everyone quit the game entirely, then re-host the desynchs stop happening. But if you jsut keep playing in the existing game it desynchs like every 5 days.

I got a good amount of people that we can test it with if you ever need it. But i think its fine for now, no more desync that much, there are methods to get rid of it kinda (like our friend jozy altidore wrote) so i think its fine for now.
