Description
Load hangs at "updating history" screen. Will try a reinstall.

Steps to Reproduce
Load game, selected 1936 start.

Reinstalled and it still hung - no change after 10 minutes on the updating history screen . Is there a "total wipe and reinstall" method i should try?

I clicked on "tutorial" to see if something different might work and it hung on "loading graphics". I've been running the game since the beginning without this problem.

Are you graphics drivers up to date? After history it starts loading graphics.
Go into Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV and delete the file "settings".

I am having the same problem, deleting the settings file did not work in my case, still gets stuck on 'Updating History' when trying to start a new game and choosing Select Scenario for 1936 start.
