HoI 4 - Game still "running" with error report open

Description
When the game automatically launches an error log .txt while in debug mode, once you quit the game Steam still considers HoI4 to be running. It will only allow you to open HoI4 again once you've closed all error log txts currently open. Never seen this issue before, started occurring after update to NSB. Occurrs with or without mods.

Steps to Reproduce
Open the game in debug mode. Wait for an error log to open. Close the game and keep the log open on Notepad. Steam will still register HoI4 as running and the "Stop" buttom won't work. Once you close the logs, Steam is able to see that HoI4 is not running anymore.

Yes, this is a very annoying change in 1.11. Clicking "Stop" in Steam does nothing and there are no indications whatsoever that the notepad windows are considered part of the game now.

No, this has been around forever.
It is annoying, but it is NOT introduced by NSB.

I am a modder and in my experience this has never been the case until I installed NSB. It sometimes took a while to register, but I remember having 20, 30 opened error logs at the end of a modding session because I just didn't care about closing them between tests.

Not sure what's going on, then.

Strange. I mod since 1.9.2 LaR came out, and I always had this problem. :/

Same. This had never been an issue from launch till 1.11.1

And can not find a process to kill to solve this,unless kill steam process.

Just copypaste the errors into notepad++, and close the errorlog. Done

(Sorry, I did not understand that. Sounds like it might be an easy fix. But I've had trouble with what the OP posted, too. Aggravating).

I got,when HOI4 start, an error log pop up together,and when you close HOI4, you should close that error log(the windows notepad) as well,then Steam would difine the HOI4 process exit correctly, otherwise Steam thougt the HOI4 still running.
