HOI 4 France, Latin Ententa, compensate Italy HELP! Nothing I do will get Italy to join the Latin Ententa!

I went straight for it (compensate Italy, Focus), (it didn't work), then I waited tell they join the Axis, (that didn't work) (this would never work, but tested it anyway), Then I have got the others in (to join) (Spain, Czechoslovakia) before them (Italy), (It doesn't work as well)!
I would give them France Somaliland, but it doesn't come up! It just says Mussolini refuses, but in the same statement it says they asked for too much!
IDC, I want them to join, I want to give them France Somaliland!
Please help and thank you!
Edit: I believe this is a bug, but I don't understand some of what they want us to do to put it under the bug forum!

I can't believe that I am new, and I am the first person to find this problem! I must also say that Portugal is the same way! You can't get them to join as well!
That must be why no one has posted this anywhere, or made a video, or post of this problem!

The Italian AI will always refuse the compensation event unless it's set to Monarchist or Dino Grandi fascism. Mussolini doesn't just want French Somaliland, he wants Savoy and Corsica too, which is a non-starter for France.

For Portugal, it uses the generic faction invite, so make sure they're not already in a faction, and that they have more than 65 opinion of you if they're not the same ideology. If they stay neutral, they're more likely to reject the invite.

It's not something you can do mid-game. When you're starting a new game, you go into the advanced settings and change Italy's AI to either monarchist or the Dino Grandi alternative fascism path.

And you can't offer Savoy or Corsica, the compensation focus is only about giving up French Somaliland. I was explaining why the event when Italy refuses says they were asking for too much. "Non-starter" means something that would fail from the start, or an argument or idea that can't be debated. The French would not willingly give up those lands to Italy, as they were given to France in the past by pre-unification states as repayment for debts.

Then why is it on the Focus tree? Plus, I would, I am playing as the leader am I not! Also, if they are met to say no then, why the lleh would I offer them claims on Greece.
