Description
After last patch, the game loads up on the background with a black screen. Everything seems responsive, since I can hear the icons sounds on the background, and the watch icon of loading on the mouse during the load phase.
This happens only with HDR enabled. If I disable HDR on windows, or if I disable HDR option for that specific game on game settings area of windows games, the image shows up, but really really dark. DX9 accepts HDR without an issue.
Tests done include fullscreen, borderless screen, smaller resolutions, windowed mode, different graphics. Didn't seem to change anything related to the issue.
Used the game for the past year and a half using HDR and didn't ever run into an issue like that. Maybe is reversible.
Also tried deleting all files related to the Heart of Iron, and the user profile. Removed the config files at %appdata% hopping that would be loading something related to the older version, but all it's done is reset all my saves and configs.
Don't know if my hardware can be related to the issue, but gotta share it anyway.
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x (Watercooled)
GPU: Sapphire 6900xt Toxic Extreme Edition (Watercooled)
RAM: 32gb DDR4 3600mhz Corsair Vengance XMP stock profile.
MOBO: Aorus x570s Elite rev1.1
Monitor: Samsung Ultra Wide 49" LC49HG90DMLXZD running at 3840x1080 144mhz with FreeSync enabled at standard.
Steps to Reproduce
Select DX11 as main engine, enable HDR on windows and voila.
