Hold on, does this mean that if I form a non-aggression pact with the Soviets to focus south, I can't then later turn around and go, "So about that whole 'Siberia' thing, I really think it should belong to me." Or if I do, then I can't prospect it for resources and get some of that sweet, sweet Siberian oil? That's going to be a serious problem, as while the Southern Resource Area is rich in rubber (seriously, there's so much rubber, it's a little ridiculous), there's not too much oil there and if my previous experience has taught me anything, it's that unless you're playing as America (there's such a thing as a nation being TOO easy), you NEVER have enough oil.

@Archangel85:
Hi dev Archangel, could you tell me which states of Japan have been made non-core? I saw this line in the changelog, but since I just bought the game, I don't know which states. And does this change significantly reduce Japan's strength? As non-core states can support only half the shared state buildings possible and 2% of recruitable population. Thankss!

As I understood it it was the small islands in the Pacific that were de-cored, since they were both too difficult to protect from nukes and not really part of the Japanese islands in any meaningful way.

Damn, I was hoping that if you chose to Support the Kodoha Faction, then start a new shogunate, your country would change it's name to Empire of the Rising Sun. Wishful thinking from a Red Alert fan...
