And by the way, please, do already something with civil wars in general - where generic focus trees combined with generic tag of "other side" kill the whole regions out of big fun.
IIRC if Fascist Germany wins the Civil War they keep the German tree but with Rheinland pre-selected

Fascist Japan in a war with commies, has generic tag and generic focuses. Germany after syccessful Oster's conspiracy just sits with generic tree and recruits divisions - having ~300.

Wait so do you form the CSA (Communist States of America) when the civil war starts or does the CSA (Confederate States of America) rise against you for ending segregation and other such communist things?

also is this civil war Fascist vs Communist like the SCW or is it Communist vs Democratic because that kind of stuff really matters if WW2 spills into it

What determines where the national capital for the communist/fascist government is located? Is it pre-scripted to a specific city, or is it variable, depending where the front lines are drawn? Or, can we choose where our new capital is located?

I've not understood well if choosing the fascist path the United States switch to the Confederacy, the player is allowed to chose or the nation stays the US and the South will break away only in the communist path.

@Archangel85 I'm reserving judgement for the moment, but allow me to express some very deep concerns about the fascist branch (in particular, the focuses after Ally with the Silver Shirts). I don't see what privatization and de-regulation have to do with fascism. In particular, privatizing the TVA, since advocacy against the TVA was what more or less launched Ronald Reagan's political career, and was a stance of Barry Goldwater, neither of whom were remotely fascist in their leanings.

I also have concerns regarding the entire concept of effectively gating the fascism path behind what looks to be a general opposition to the New Deal, given that, at the time, one of the criticisms of the New Deal itself was that it resembled fascism a little too much (a less hyperbolic sounding criticism at the time, before the democracies were actively fighting the fascist countries).

If we grant Statehood to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico will that increase the number of seats in the Senate, as it should?

And if go down the War Powers Act branch, is it possible to grant the annexed provinces of Canada, states of Mexico, or Cuba Statehood?

"Work With the Bund"

Would the inclusion of women allow female aces and therefore means that we will finally be able to see female aces?
If the Canada is Fascist wouldn't it be possible to work with them instead of asking for Vancouver?

We are playing with the idea of giving them the US focus tree but with the fascist path pre-selected.
This should be the case for all Civil War countries. They should have the focus tree of the original nation with the focuses that were completed by that original nation already completed and also the political part of the focus tree being autocompleted up to the first focus that locks it in.

In practice Fascist countries were pretty big on privatisation. Germany, Italy, Spain, you name it

@podcat @Archangel85 Is the political/congress decisions based on a republican vs democrat thing or a player vs opposition thing? Is it possible to chose political party and go ahistorical on which party leads? or is it if the player wants to go democratic, they are stuck with Roosevelt?

Looking at the focus tree, it seems that it's based on a political spectrum with the far left being the communists and the far right being the fascists and in the middle is the democrats and republicans. And the top of the focus tree would choose the political party the player supports as a democratic nation. Am I off?

In a different note, would it be possible for an annexation and statehood of the Philippines? I know it would be extremely ahistorical and during that time period, there were already plans on its independence but it was a commonwealth on a similar vein as Puerto Rico. If it's possible, it should be quite hard to do, for example, once annexed via tfv mechanics or focus etc, it would take a lot of time and/or political power.

It has about as much to do with fascism as desegragating the military has to do with communism. As far as I understand, it's "right-wing policy" vs "left wing policy", and if you only pick the more benign policies, you remain democratic without any civil war.

In this particular tree, the three branches are not completely separated.

Does CSA stand for Confederate or Communist states? This is why the Communist USA should have been called "United Socialist States of America", or something.
