Description
The Montreux Convention has no discernible effect when the USSR and Turkey compromise after a crisis. The Straits are demilitarised and back into Turkish control, as though the USSR never opposed the unilateral demilitarisation in the first place, with exactly the same effects.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Pick the Soviet Union in Historical mode.
2. Wait for Montreux Convention.
3. Force Turkey to strike a compromise by threatening war.

Indeed, in regard to the status of the straits it does not seem to matter, if the compromise is found or if the Turkey forces remilitarisation - I have a save, playing Turkey (and having set all AIs to strictly act historically), where the conference is pending. I tested three outcomes:

1) Instantly going for the compromise allows remilitarisation and gives full control
2) Insisting on the complete demand and ignoring the war threat results in the USSR giving in, remilitarisation happening as well (and you get some PP)
3) Only insisting on the demand first and then giving in to the USSR war threat will result in the straits staying demilitarized

Just in case it it helpful for tracking down a potential issue, I attached the said save with the event pending:
