HOI 4 at low PCs

Hey there! I have a question. I saw the requirements for the game, and now im totally sad.

Any other requirements is ok... I wait this game so long

No that was the Steam page specs. The page on Paradoxplaza store lists the following as the minimum:

OS: Windows 7 x86 or newer, Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.0 Ghz or Intel Core 2 Quad 9400 @ 2.66 Ghz, Memory: 2 GB RAM, Graphics: AMD HD 5770 or Nvidia GTX 460 with 1024MB VRAM, Latest available WHQL drivers from both manufacturers, DirectX: 9.0c, Storage: 4 GB available space, Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card, Controller support: 3-button mouse, keyboard and speakers, Special multiplayer requirements: Internet Connection or LAN for multiplayer.​

Core 2 quad and GTX 460 are a pretty big jump from pentium 4 and gt 8800. I made a thread recently asking the devs for confirmation of whether that page listing was wrong, or whether the steam listing was wrong, but got no official response.

Oh,sorry. I think Pentium 4 was HoI3's requirement. These are not final specs. That is normal if devs are not answering your questions. It's always a little tricky to decide on minimum specs and game is still in beta.

Clausewitz runs on two core I think (one for rendering,one for game logic) so not having four cores may not cause an instant crush. However performance will be bad,and running on speed 5 will be just a dream.

If you are on desktop,check your motherboard if it supports improvement,which is unlikely as quad core processors will overload north bridge. But it deserves a try.

Maybe it's time to consider buying a new computer.

I have a pretty good laptop, but I'm still concerned that it may not be able to run HOI4. I know it's probably an irrational fear, considering my laptop is able to run EU4, G-Mod, War Thunder, Civ 5, and M&B Warband at good performance. I'm still just worried.

the main thing with all PDS games is dedicated ram for the GPU. Intel's in the past have been notorious for having shared ram but 0 - 64 MB of dedicated ram, which is when PDS games tend not to work.

Like release date threads etc speculation on the specs until confirmed and if your PC will run it are fairly pointless.
